I liked that. It had some funny moments. Kind of like “An Idiot Abroad” buy with the roles reversed a little bit.

I always liked Corner Gas too. Just a simple dumb/funny show that can actually be quite clever at times. I don't get the hate.

Watching those clips, I might have to give Mr D a chance. I always scoffed at the ads played during Schitt's Creek, and thought how unfunny that dude was... But that stuff is funny.

Growing up in a small town, and actually working at the local gas station in my youth, makes the show very relatable.

The Dog River/Wullerton rivalry was so spot on.

There's never been a show that did celebrity cameos better than Corner Gas.

Old Simpsons comes close, but Corner Gas absolutely nailed them.

To be fair, this was announced back in August but they're definitely related.

So, on the topic of Netflix, the adaptation of Stephen King's Gerald's Game came out yesterday (Netflix Original). My wife (like a lot of women I've talked to about it recently) was a big fan of the novel, and it's definitely in my top 5 King books. King is, if nothing, one of the few male authors that apparently can characterize women properly (he credits this to his wife).

I won't go into it too much for those who haven't read it, but it's very very good. Not perfect (it always struck me as a book that would be damn hard to translate into a movie), but altogether very successful. Stellar performances, contains about 90% of the book (very faithful actually, much like Misery was), and chalks up another win for King movies for this year.

Also it's pretty gruesome, and I'm not usually affected by that stuff. Woof.

I'm not much of a fan of the band but Foo Fighters Back and forth is absolutely fantastic.

Anyone watched Big Mouth...good lord is it funny. It's up there with Archer and Community for us as best comedy. Cartoon about the joys of puberty and the hilarity that ensues..

I wish I could just show this to my kids instead of the "talk".

I thought the first 3 episodes were gold, but then I noticed a bit of a drop, still good enough that I watched 9 episodes over the weekend.
