In fiction, canon is the material accepted as officially part of the story in the fictional universe of that story.
Yep. And when the creator says X happened, it's canon. They're the literal God of the story. You're going to say the creator/head doesn't decide what is part of the fictional story?
It doesn't need to be in the movie or a book, as long as there's nothing that clearly and obviously disagrees then the writers/creators/presidents or whatever get to create the canon.
And George Lucas did create canon, no one disagreed his stories were canon...until the new writers came in and said it wasn't. Until someone writes that Hulk didn't save people on planes, then it must be accepted that he did because that's what the creator said.
An explanation of a plot hole and canon are not mutually exclusive. Speaking of Star Wars, the official explanation (outside of the movies) on parsecs was canon long before it showed up on Solo...even if it was just an explanation for bad writing.
I don't know how you can say the movie conflicts it without showing someone falling from the sky or phasing into a wall and dying, otherwise exactly what Feige said happened, those who were safe were transported back, those that weren't were sent elsewhere.
But this has to be the worst semantic, pedantic argument and we're in a thread for nerds lol. I don't know how one can argue that what the absolute top dog over at the MCU studio doesn't get to create canon.

I think just turning back time and Thor going for the head would be lazy writing. Who knows where they are going in the future with the fallouts of their choices are.
Why is this a thing? It feels like "oh wow, this movie sucked...how can we get a mulligan? I know! It wasnt supposed to be this so we'll re-make it and say this is how it was always supposed to be!!!"
I dont care. Justice League sucked. In keeping with the rest of the DC films...Man of Steel sucked, Aquaman sucked, Wonder Woman sucked marginally less but was nothing special.
Its like releasing a movie and then saying..."No, no, no! It was supposed to be better than that! Hold on! We got this!"
4 years later.
Its not like Zack Snyder is Steven Spielberg and has an unparalleled creative vision. Its more likely that Snyder's vision is worse than the crap that they released.
Why is this a thing? Why is this a thing anyone cares about?
Its like performing CPR on a movie franchise.

This will be better than anything that overrated hack Josh Whedon ever put out.

Josh Whedon didn't write any of those things so clearly he's right. I mean I don't know if Josh Whedon is a hack or overrated since I've never heard of him, but he clearly hasn't done anything of consequence.

I know what his name is. I don't want to ever type that ridiculous spelling to be cool... lol
Sounds good Raubert?

Whedon gets a lifetime of passes, for Buffy, Angel and Firefly. I really like him better in a long storytelling format.
Snyder does alright with a film when it is a frame by frame reenactment of a comic book. 300 and Watchmen. When he has to create anything himself, he is one of the worst out there. He is an outstanding director of commercials.
That he was put in charge of something of the stature of DCU is mindblowing. It's in the same realm as Kurtzman with Star Trek and Abrams with Star Wars. People with no imagination shouldn't be given the keys to the convertible.
But I do understand how it happened. These are some of the best people in the industry for talking themselves up. And they were dealing with people (studio heads, especially after the swarm of corporate mergers/buyouts) who have difficult crafting a letter to Santa.

Hahaha Getbak, you posted this exact trailer on page 132.
What's the deal?
It showed up in my YouTube feed today so I assumed it was new. I didn't recall seeing the black Super suit in the previous one, so I thought there was new footage.
Don't mind me.
