I also love this scene from Moneyball.

I think that I may have accidentally watched every sports movie ever made. Here is a double bill for people who like basketball :

Rebound starring Don Cheadle. Kareem Abdul Jabbar named him as the best player that he had ever played against.

And you can follow that up with the documentary "On the Shoulders of Giants". I liked the doc better, but Cheadle was a relative unknown when he made Rebound, and knocked it out of the park.

The Longest Yard 2005 remake is a pretty decent flick, and one of Sandlers better movies IMO. Got some good scenes and a great cast.

The followup scene/sequence has some tough language, but a good payoff.

Within the same genre, Mean Machine, which is an adaptation of the story but set in the UK and around "proper football" is great. Features a lot of the folks from Lock, Stock.

Awesome choices! Love the scene from Friday Night Lights, one of my favourite movies.

Came in here to post this. I’d run through a wall for Will Patton in this scene. Underrated actor.

Agreed.

Feels like a lot of people could use a re-watch of Remember The Titans right now.

I personally loved the cemetery scene and it seems particularly relevant now.

For those that are interested some footage from Permian against Arlington in 1987 with highlights from Boobie Miles

I don’t know how to embed, but this was a great ending to an awesome movie from my youth. The context in a 3 minute clip likely won’t resonate if you’ve not seen the film. This clip is also Spanish subtitled as the English version I found was 6-7 minutes so went with the shorter.

The movie is called Best of the Best. Awesome martial arts film.

Major League 3, Ted McGinley was the best part of this movie and had the best self injury in movie history.

Reminds me of perhaps my all-time favorite sketch:

Heraclitus a little flick, here he comes on the far post, Socrates is there, Socrates heads it in! Socrates has scored! The Greeks are going mad, the Greeks are going mad! Socrates scores, got a beautiful cross from Archimedes. The Germans are disputing it.

Hegel is arguing that the reality is merely an a priori adjunct of non-naturalistic ethics, Kant via the categorical imperative is holding that ontologically it exists only in the imagination, and Marx is claiming it was offside.
