Ownership change for the Arizona Coyotes

The “woe is me card?” Really? That franchise has been afforded so much rope to try and become successful. More than any other team in NHL history, without a doubt. After 57 owner changes, including being league owned for a long stretch its time to face facts it will never become a successful franchise.
Edit: I should clarify: will never be successful in Glendale. But the odds of moving back to Phoenix proper are slim to none.

Florida is in a much worse situation than Arizona by a long shot, I will say.
But they're both in need of a quick reversal of fortunes. I could see it.

Respectfully disagree. Florida's lease is AMAZING and really helps the team stay solvent. No reason to leave there, particularly compared to Arizona.

Look at the lack of ads on the boards. Probably a pre-season game.

Was a split-squad mid-week pre-season game, and apparently parking was $20

Yeah, Florida has a great lease and a rich owner, but from an attendance perspective, it's clearly a much worse market for hockey than Arizona. If I was rooting for a team to leave (which I try not to), it'd be Florida. That state clearly only needs and cares about one team.

Sustained success plays a big part in "caring" about the team. Lightning have had it, the Panthers have not. Building was packed a few years back when they had over 100 points. It's just a fairweather market that needs a few great years back to back in order to rebuild the fanbase. They were great when the team first came to the area, but being bad for a long time causes people to give up on the franchise until they can prove they're for real.
