When I grew up I was a big Patrick Roy fan, but hated the Habs. When he got traded to the Avs I cheered for them. I also thoroughly disliked Theo Fleury, so I kinda cheered against the Flames. I'm primarily a Flames fan, but I have a soft spot for the Avs. As much as I'm annoyed that they beat out the Flames, I hope they run away with the West. Avs in 6.

MacKinnon's line is going to torch that defense made up of the slower Brauns, Dillons, and yes, even Vlasics, or they're going to expose the defensive insufficiencies of Karlsson and Burns.

At least that's my hope anyway. Both teams can go suck an egg.

I really think that first round series will ensure the Sharks do not go any further than 3 rounds but I think they will at least beat a really mediocre Avs team that the Flames made look good. I expect the Avs to split the first two games based on having fresher legs but the Sharks will not spend periods in their own end like the Flames and will eventually prevail in 6 games. Or it will be the complete opposite as the 2019 playoff randomness continues.

I hope the Avs sweep, and then go on to dominate until they sweep the finals for the cup. That way, the Flames losing to them in 5 doesn’t seem so bad.
