Mikael Granlund Refuses To Report To Detroit

In an amazing turn of events after signing as a free agent with the Detroit Red Wings, Mikael Granlund has apparently not reported to his new team.

What could be the reason? We asked Mikael Granlund's agent Bob Sacamanto who gave us the answer. "Part of the deal involved a gift certificate to Little Caesars. This gift certificate would permit the owner of said card to order unlimited Crazy Bread with no extra charge. Mikael has not received the card. Mikael wants his free Crazy Bread."

Could this be a deal breaker? We will have to wait and see.

Update:

We have just spoken to Red Wings GM Savemedrzaius. He said, "The clause in the contract stated a free Crazy Bread. There was no mention of unlimited free Crazy Breads. We are currently in contact with Mikael and his agent. We will have a statement to the media later in the day."

Granlund and the Red Wings have officially settled their dispute.

The Red Wings will give Granlund one free Crazy Bread + Dipping sauce with any order. In addition they will give him a pizza party at a Little Caesars location of his choice. He will be permitted to invite a maximum of 5 teammates to said party. However he must provide a list in advance.
