It's interesting until the end. Those battle things are ridiculous. What if a pirate and a knight confronted each other in a battle over buried treasure? WTF

Yah, I've caught three as well. That's one of the best new shows to come out in awhile! I thought it was on Discovery, though.

Agreed.
Love the premise of the show, love watching the weapon comparisons, but the actual showdown just seems off. The most off to me seemed Apache v. Gladiator. Of course the Apache would win if they met in a forest.
Viking v. Samurai and the one tonight, Mafia v. Yazuka appear to be the ones that are the best handled.
I'll still watch every week.

Crap, I missed Yakuza vs Mafia tonight. The only one that truly surprised me so far was the Apache beating down the Gladiator. I'd love if they made the computer program they use available to the public, what metrics they use etc. Would be interesting to see.
I'd really love to see 1936ish era Ethiopian vs. 1830ish Seminole.

I was disappointed with Ninja vs Spartan. I don't think the sim grasps the concept of the fact the Ninja was a stealth assassin. Spartans were trained to be tough as a force, that ninja would not have openly battled him on a field, he would have dropped from that tree when the Spartan was passing underneath it and killed him from behind.

Much like the Gladiator wouldn't have stopped pummeling the Apache.

That's the only episode I had seen. I thought the premise of a Ninja fighting a Spartan was so ridiculous that I turned it off after 10 minutes. That's like asking who would win in a fight, an African lion or a great white shark?

I was highly annoyed with the whole Apache vs. gladiator episode as a whole. Just extremely ######y people on that episode.

The Ninja vs. Spartan one I disagree with strongly. The Spartan wouldn't see the Ninja coming, and the Ninja would never take on anyone in a head to head matchup.
I thought the Samurai vs. Viking one was correct 1 vs. 1, but if the fight was bigger, say, 100 Samurai vs. 100 Vikings, I think the Vikings would take it.

Your crazy... "Every" samurai is an elite warrior
With 100 vikings only 10 will be elite
an average showdown with Samurais last like 20-30 sec.
I don't see how less skilled warriors could take on a group of the "Greatest" warrior of our time. IMO

They were dumb for not having the Ninja take on the Pirate. That's been the question of the ages.

You'll have to send your request for that battle to "Animal Face-Off" (Not a spin on the movie starring Nick Cage and the guy from grease)
