Default LF: Washing Machine Repairperson

Thought I’d see if there is anyone on Calgary Puck before seeking a Google search.

My washer (apartment stacked style) is no longer performing it’s spin cycle. It appears to just toss the clothes around and doesn’t remove any water. The Clothes come out sopping wet.

Shoot me a message if you or someone you know are able to help.

Darren

Depending upon what type it is have you checked the bottom trap (if equipped) you open a little hatch door and unscrew the thread inside and it should flush out any debris causing this issue.
A bucket or rags would be recommended.
If not.....its a possibility your pump has failed.

What I will tell you as well... is that a good reputable company will have a guarantee or warranty on the work done as well. Others won't and will seem like opportunistic schmuck.

It looks like there is a compartment below, but not sure how to open it. After looking at it, it just looks like it’s a washer and dryer stacked on top of each other and not an actual combo one.

I don’t know if it’s the pump, to put it simply, the spin cycle doesn’t go fast anymore and the clothes come out wet hah

Google your model number and issue. Isolate the issue and fix it yourself. Save a heap of money. I’ve done this on multiple units. YouTube will likely have a video to walk you through it

Thanks, I did find a YouTube video and took off the front panel, but it looks a little daunting for me.

That’s fair - usually with pumps they come out and go back in Pretty easy - if that is in fact the issue.
