Two episodes left, unless you've seen something we haven't early?

One to go, episode 12.

I'm so bummed out this only got 3 seasons. This is like when BCS wrapped up.

Was skeptical of the over hour run time again and probably could have been streamlined but overall just a great episode. Lots of laughs, an actual soccer game that fit with the story and character development, and a big emotional payoff. Best part was the Beard/Nate scene.

One more to go. Obvious what Ted’s truth bomb will be and also expecting redemption for Nate and comeuppance for Rupert.

Did anyone notice one of the songs playing near the end was "Fought & Lost?"

So we will see you here
same time, same place, next year...

And yes, I am ignoring the closing credits song was "Home."

(edit: although in listening to it again this morning, it's more ambiguous than it seemed to be as part of the show:

Tell us should we run away
or should we try and stay?
Or would it be better just to let things be?
)

(edit: also, I'm not certain if it's Belinda Carlile's version or Diana Ross' original... I just googled the song list from the episode, but I can't re-watch the ending again (right now) to know for sure)

Not sure that could all fit in two episodes.
I wonder if Ted will end up as a pundit for soccer on NBC Sports back in the US ...as a little Easter egg to bring the whole thing full circle

Forgot to even mention the Pep cameo. Too funny!

Do EPL teams in London actually take the bus to Manchester? Also surprised there was no mention of the champions league given how much of a big deal Richmond qualifying would be.

Biggest plot hole on the show though is Rebecca is clearly hitting the gym with the Greyhounds but we haven’t seen her even do one push up.

It really is a magical show.

I saw an interview with Coach Beard (can't recall the actor's name) and he said everything is on the table (spin-offs, continuation, etc) but they want to let this season play out.

I'd be really surprised if they walked away from all these characters to never hear from them again.

1 - The Entertainment Industry doesn't usually leave money on the table (Seinfeld is the oddity)

2 - I honestly believe the writers enjoy these characters and have more stories to tell.

I am sad to see the show go, but I think it's a good time to wrap it up.

Season 3 has gotten much better, but I think so many of the characters are close to wrapping up their arcs I don't think spitting out any more seasons would produce much in terms of quality.

I will definitely re-watch in the future

I hope that they do in fact end the show after this season. You see it all the time in US TV shows where they try and squeeze the fruit too much and it makes bitter juice. Look at the office and the final seasons which just felt like caricatures just going through the motions. Just look at some of the side stories this year with Shandy and Jack in particular being frankly weak.

I really like the show and I wouldn't want it to turn into a Friends style show with the same recycled stories.

I think having a heartfelt show about the growth of all characters into the best versions of themselves wizard of oz style is a great outcome.

Also, while Bill Lawrence has taken a step back for season 3, he was very involved in early development and the first two seasons. You have to think he learned from Scrubs, where they nailed the finale with Season 8, and then kind of ruined it with the spin off/reboot season.

That said, TV is very interesting nowadays where they don’t run all shows season to season from October through May. We’ve got shows like Curb, where Larry David stops writing for years and then decides he’s got an idea worth doing, so picks it back up. If they take some time and have a new story they want to tell with these characters, I’d be all for it.

Scrubs is probably the best example, the last season where they kept some minor characters and tried to introduce a new main cast turned a very good to great show into one that was unwatchable, especially after a great finale which concluded the main characters journey.

You mean "my sexy boy" wasn't just a wholesome throwaway exchange between a mother and son?
