Default October 12 with zero games.

That's right, ZERO games are on the schedule for Friday. It is not a joke, just a quirk in the schedule. I have not seen a day off this early in the season. Have a great NHL free evening as there will be fourteen games tomorrow. We can post news items here if they happen.

Pretty poor planning by the NHL, or do they really see the Ticats vs Argos as a threat...

Absolutely ridiculous. A Friday night with no hockey... no other competition either... what is the NHL thinking?

The Oilers are happy; they can't fall further behind.

The schedule makers couldn't have even given us an Oiler Sens game? I'm so excited by the start of the season I'd watch anything.

Actually sort of surprised they wouldn't be playing - they've played fewer games than almost anyone because of the Europe trip.

I'm more surprised the Leafs aren't playing, you know cuz everything sort of revolves around them and i'm sure they wouldn't mind the spotlight some more to show off their exceptional team ....

I like baseball, especially in the playoffs, but just can't bring myself to care about LA and Milwaukee. Give me hockey please

Oliver Kylington with a hatty tonight. Lazar with a goal.

4-4 Heat vs. Ontario Reign with about 2 minutes to go.

5-4 Heat in OT. Tyler Graovac with the winner.

ANOTHER UPDATE: Last Kylington goal now awarded to Tyler Graovac.

Kylington with two. Graovac with two.

Of course the Lazar goal didn't make the highlights.

Listening to the radio, the announcers were kind of surprised there were no games. Some buddies of mine were so confused as they were scanning their on screen guides looking for a game and couldn't find any. Just weird that Butthead and company would do this so early in the season.

Do they ever check mic levels for this minor guy? Work in some compression.
