Default Great "Bad" Movies! (25% or lower on Rotten Tomatoes)

For me a movie I just saw that really blew me away in the badness x enjoyablity factor.

Sleepwalkers

Cat/vampire people who are afraid of cats. Cats hate 'em and they kill 'em.

Mother/son have an incestual relationship.

Also has Madchen Amick who I had never heard of before but she stole my heart.

Great death scenes and has the chubby guy from Beetlejuice. You know the one! He plays a teacher.

The ending which is incredible but maybe for such a classic you want to be surprised the first time you watch it so CAREFUL!

Spoiler!

There's a How Did This Get Made? episode about that movie you'd probably enjoy:

Great idea for a thread! For me I would have to say:

Batman & Robin - so campy and so terrible but at least it's fun to watch at how terrible it is. Can't say the movie is ever boring.
Event Horizon- This is just a great sci fi horror film that I never understood how critics hated it.
End of Days - Arnold Schwarzenegger fights the devil that's all you need to know

The Boondock Saints. +1 for End of Days.

Also Grandma’s Boy. I’m not usually a fan of Happy Madison movies but this one cracks me up.

Bad Boys 2 has a 22% rating and is one of my favorite action movies. Super fun, over the top, funny, quoteable, awesome action scenes, and never takes itself too seriously. Suck it critics.

It has some brilliant moments, off set by some of the worst cinema I have ever seen. Worth it if you have time to kill and a joint or 2.

Karate Kid 3 (16%)

Considered to not be on the level of the previous 2, but not as bad as another Karate Kid with Hillary Swank and the awesome Michael Ironside. But I kinda have a guilty pleasure for the 3rd one.

Why? Because while the first two movies were some what preachy, and Daniel was portrayed as the virtuous warrior on the path to enlightenment. In Karate Kid 3 he becomes an outright jerk and even Miyaghi has had enough of him. But what makes this movie a guilty pleasure. The over the top villains. From Terry Silver the industrial waste dumping super villian to the returning Martin Kove who just outright chewed scenary and dominated this movie as Kreese (Who probably could have been a really interesting villain with the possibility of redemption). To Sean Kanan (Who almost died making this movie) as Mike Barnes the Bad Boy of Karate.

My best friend and myself have this thing called the list. These are horrific movies that we've seen, but a movie can't go on the list if it has one what we call redemptive scene. Bad movies will often have a scene in the middle that flirts with brilliant, where the film maker pushes through the crap that he's making to have one scene that almost doesn't belong in the movie. Karate Kid 3 had several guilty pleasure redemptive scenes.

The final fight was well done, and I was surprised that the part where Barnes was screaming at him to get back on the mat was improved by Kanan and wasn't in the script

Oh god this was the first movie where I watched the really hot Elizabeth Berkley acting during the sex scenes and thinking, I don't think she or the director have any idea about how to film a sex scene unless they wanted to make it look like someone was having sex with a malfunctioning sexbot.

The Dukes of Hazzard. I love Willie Nelson and Johnny Knoxville together.

Heavyweights. Ben Stiller kills this roll. Audience score is high but critics hated it. Watched this a ton in my youth.

x2 for Bad Boys 2. It's a dumb action movie but who cares, it's fun.

I'm sure it's down their too, but I really liked Sahara. Sure it's a dumb action movie with so many holes in the plot you could drain pasta in it, but it's fun and I love Steve Zahn as the wisecracking sidekick

Took a look through Adam Sandler's filmography. Man there's a lot of green... Some gems with low ratings though.

Mr. Deeds has some funny moments.
Big Daddy's at 40% but I genuinely enjoy that movie.

Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo. I havent seen it since I was about 15 but I remember laughing a lot.

Dirty Work at 17%. Thats just a mistake.

Whenever that movie comes on, I just have to watch it.

Steve Odenkerk didn't really do much on screen after that movie. But behind the scenes he wrote and directed the second Ace Ventura movie, wrote Bruce Almighty and had a hand in writing cowboys and aliens.
