It's not surprising that Calgary would be on many player's NTC lists. Ever had a look at a map with all the NHL teams on it? Not many people want to live that far away from almost everything...

I think Kadri's wife is supposed to be going into labour any day now. It's possible nothing happens until that's done with as well

Is he afraid of the Canadian media spotlight? Doesn't like his team market actually giving a rip about hockey I guess. Shame if so but this doesn't appear confirmed either.

If that were a problem next to no one would sign in the western conference.
