Nick Adenhart. Lyman Bostock. Tommy Hanson. Mike Miley. Donnie Moore. Chico Ruiz. Luis Valbuena. Dick Wantz. Too much for one franchise. RIP Tyler.

Die hard Angels fan. Absolutely gutted about Skaggs. He was my favourite pitcher on the team this year. Baseball lost a great player and an even better person today. Literally watched him play two days ago...

I'm a die hard Rangers fan, but never really had any animosity toward the Angels.

Even if I hated them like I hate the Cardinals (sweet baby Moses do I hate the Cardinals) I wouldn't wish that on any player or team. I'd be gutted if I were you too.

Sports is supposed to be an escape, something fun, bring us joy (and heartbreak, can't have the joy without the heartbreak). However, this goes beyond heartbreak.

No, it's not the same as someone we know passing at a young age, but that doesn't mean it isn't sad, nor does it mean it doesn't hurt.

In all honesty, I think they should cancel the whole series (maybe even the next one). Give the players, teammates, friends a chance to grieve.

How many of those players have gone through a loss like this before? It would take more than a day or three to function normally again.

Honestly, it's more likely that the players will want to get back out there as soon as possible. Inevitably, teams will vote to continue right away. Partially as a tribute to the fallen teammate, but mostly because getting back into the routine helps one cope.

Patrick Corbin will wear No. 45 tonight to honour his best friend Tyler Skaggs.

Max Scherzer warmed up in the 1969 retro Expos jersey tonight. Looked pretty awesome.. I am not a big jersey guy but could make an exception for this.

Pretty cool moment in LA tonight with the Angels relievers combining to throw a no hitter on the night they honour Tyler Skaggs. Sports is pretty cool sometimes.

What an amazing moment. No hitter, seeing all those jerseys on the mound, all those smiles on the Angels faces. Damn onions

So proud of the boys tonight. Tyler is proud of all of you! Could not ask for a more perfect game to honour him.

This Red Sox-Dodgers game has been really entertaining. Great choice for a Sunday Night Baseball game.

The Giants are somehow just 3 games back in the Wild Card race and fans don't know what to think

After being written off by fans and members of the media as recently as one month ago, the San Francisco Giants now find themselves just three games back from the National League's second and final Wild Card spot.

The Giants have won 11 of their last 13 games, and now sit just three games under .500 with a record of 46-49. They were 10 games under .500 and in the NL basement as recently as early July.

Hard to imagine they have the horses to contend through August & September with teams like the Nationals, Phillies, Brewers & Cardinals also in that race. That said they are fun to watch this year with Yaz and Pillar revamping their outfield!

It's very likely Bumgarner will be traded soon.

Crawford had 8 RBIs the other day.

They continue to play well. Scored 3 in the bottom of the 8th to tske the lead on the Cubs here.
