Nadal needs to channel his inner Djokovic and use the fact that the crowd is behind Federer to pump himself up here.

Looking a bit like the 2017 AO Final, although the first set was tight in this one. But both guys controlling the other sets they won. Feels like Roger needs the early break in the fourth to really get Nadal down.

There's that early break that the Senator wanted.

Wow that backhand winner was vintage Federer. Unreal get.

Man, even if Rafa loses this match, he's played some gutsy tennis on these match points.

All and all that was pretty straightforward, relatively speaking. Was also wise to tank that second set once Rafa got the break to conserve the energy, went hard those last two sets.

Congratulations to Roger he was certainly the better player today especially on the important points. That missed BP in the last game will haunt Nadal.

Outside clay Rafa just doesn't have a gameplan anymore to beat Roger. He can't go to the backhand anymore, Roger has the confidence to swing freely with it that he never had before the racquet change. And Roger's serving outside the second set was exceptional. Still think Novak is too much on Sunday, but if Roger brings the serve then we're in for a classic.

you're a good sport, I know what I would have done if the result was different, i.e. not be anywhere near this board until the final.
joining a different team for Sunday or just hoping the Centre Court roof caves in during warmup?

This proved pretty prophetic. In the end Roger gets over 60% on second serves and Rafa finishes under 50%.
