Well yeah 5 of 6 points and beating a team you are competing with head to head would be a pretty good week

That should have been an easy day at the office and 2 important points against a team that is terrible.

Do you like there chances? They seem to have the Kings number so that's a maybe but I'd be willing to make a pretty hefty wager that the Oilers give us another ass whooping.

Meh I was mad at first seeing I was at the game live (puke) but now I realize losses like this happen from time to time. Buffalo has beaten some pretty good teams this season.
Also the Islanders lost in OT to the Coyotes as well.
Also the Oilers are still 11 points back of us. Win in my books.

His lack of feel for the game will be our ondoing. He will never have playoff success because he not only gets outcoached by the opposition. He outcoaches himself.

"Hmm... Brouwer killed the first 1:25, but he's not a centre so I shouldn't put him out there again. Plus the penalty's almost over so we should go with someone who can play 4 on 4...
Can't play Backlund, he's in the box.
Can't play Monahan, he's struggling.
Can't play Stajan, he's too slow.
Can't play Jankowski, he's too young.
Can't play Bennett, I don't like his beard.
Can't play Gaudreau, I should save him for 3-on-3.
Can't play Frolik, he's injured.
Can't play Lazar, he'll try to fight someone.
I know! I'll play Brouwer! No way the Sabres will be expecting that!!!"

I sincerely hope he doesn't actually believe that.

Watching the game live, I could not understand why they had the same PK'ers for the entire 1:30 left in the penalty. Two chances to change, really makes no sense at all.
Thought the interference on Stone with ~4 mins to go was pretty weak. The Backlund penalty was pretty obvious.
Not really sure what to think. We keep collecting points, but the team has not had the same strong play they had before the break. Hope they can get it together quick. Mono still not looking 100%.

Gulutzan should just start wearing a Brouwer jersey behind the bench.

Ugh. Own that one Gulutzan. Be a man.
Brouwer should also be slapped in the head. The correct response was "I feel fine coach, but take me off the ice you idiot..."

GG is a player coach, but I don't like this answer.
You see faceoffs are struggling but "the players say they are fine". There was like 6 seconds left, get the right guys on the ice. That is why you are a coach.

He's a terrible game manager. It's so simple. We have a better record on the road because at least then he can get the hell out of his own way. It's pathetic. Usually I get over it quickly as I get older but this loss is still burning my ass because our coach blew it. It's on him. Plain and simple.

Players always say they are fine unless the literally can't stand up on their own. What a dumb thing to say Gully.

Gulutzan is gutless can't even admit it was his decision to keep the same unit out there instead puts the blame back on the team. This isn't the first time nor will be the last time he passes the blame for his stupidity off on players. Zero respect for this guy.

Pretty obvious that OT was a poor coaching call again but we shouldn’t be in OT against the Buffalo Sabres to begin with.
How does Calgary beat the Tampa Bay Lightning in their barn and then lose to the Buffalo Sabres at Home? That makes no G D sense. Treat the Buffalo Sabres game like you do the Tampa Bay Lightning game and this game is over before period 3.
As bad as coaching decisions have been there’s little doubt that the effort still is not consistent enough with the group. I’m not sure who’s fault that is and actually now that I think about it I don’t really give a rats ass, just fix it. Team effort, chop chop.
If you’re going to call yourselves professional hockey players then be professional hockey players and show up every game.
