6 games in 10 days, with travel. No excuse, but pretty brutal.

Ugh. Was busy today. Just got around to watching it. Flat again.

The score flattered them. Problem I have is they just aren’t actually creating offence. If the Canes don’t screw up leading to Toffoli’s goal, it’s another 1 goal game for the offence.

* What in the good hell was Lindholm thinking, going a mile offside, with a bit over 4 minutes left in the third? Skated over the blue line like he was chasing a puck already dumped in, while they had possession at centre. Killed the opportunity to do anything

Frustrating team to watch. They suck right now

I like your point about special teams.

The Flames are 17th in special teams, the Canes are 25th.

Everything else being equal, you absolutely have to win games when you play a team that has weaker special teams.

To paraphrase Harry Neale, the Flames aren’t beating the teams above them in the standings or the ones below

The problem is finding some other teams to play against

3 games out East, back for 2, then out East again for 6 more games.

The looked exhausted to me for sure.

I never doubt their try but they were standing around for parts of the first.

Oct 21-28 @Det Wash, NYR, NJ Pitts 5 games in 8 days 5-0-0

Nov 11-21 @ Mtl, Tor Ott Phi, NYI BUF BOS 7 games in 11 days 4-1-2

The Flames have zero offensive imagination.

Too many good players to look this bad. That’s on the coaching in my mind.

Yup, it's style of play.

Any fans that think the players have suddenly become talentless, are just bitter

That was better than the last road trip.

Right?

Didn't you point out all last year that the Flames were injury free?

Well your stretch had a full roster and players not adding 4-5 minutes of ice time for big stretches.

They look tired to me. I doubt the team is in worse shape than last year.

Don't think you have much of a point.

Right?
Yes and no.

I thought the Flames were better on the three game trip but didn't find the points going 0-3.

On this six gamer they were out played in three of the six, with another two very tight.

But in the end 5 points isn't the end of the world.

Hopefully we see their schedule normalize to some degree now. So many games at home, then so many on the road. Hard to get into a groove.

Flames are the 28th most injured team in the league. Stone and Ritchie ?? Who is over extending 4-5 minutes?

They look tired because they are losing hockey games. They are winning xGF and Corsi and having weak special teams and the 2nd best goalie in most of their games.

And you relentlessly derided those same Flames at the time with ridiculous stats picked out of your a**, as you always do. Get the **** out of here, you disingenuous idiot. Why does this site put up with garbage that brings the overall quality down?

That's a little excessive.

Kylington out every second of the season.
Stone missed ten games
Tanev missed five

that caused somewhat of a minute elevation for the big three, no?

Huberdeau was out up front

They've been injured, sorry it's an excuse that works both ways!

Players do not get tired in a contract year.

Last year contract years for 9

Gaudreau, Tkachuk, Mangiapane, Ritchie, Lewis, Gudbrandson, Zaradov, Kylington, Stone

This year: Lucic, Lewis Ritchie, Stone, Mackey.

Next year a lot of contract years so team will have critical mass of motivated tireless players.

So just ignore my reply then?

Gotcha.

Should I respond with the cost of groceries at my local Safeway?
