Default Capitals shut out the Flames 3-0

Kuemper with a 32 save shutout. Flames back at it tomorrow against the Hurricanes

On the bright side I’ve Kuemper on one of my fantasy teams so this shutout definitely helps

Flames had shots, however very few the dangerous variety

Really good 1st period, not a great 2nd and snoozer of third

One of those afternoons. Everyone was bad from the forwards to the defensemen to the goaltender. Shake it off and play better tomorrow night.

Markstrom now at 10 games with a sub-.900 SV%

Only 6 games above .900

That was probably the worst game of the season for me. Flames had nothing going out there. No life.

The team needs more speed and skill.

Sutters line combinations deserve all the scrutiny they get. Did Sutter accidentally inhale some horse tranq's?

Bad: Goaltending, Defence, Offence, Coaching, Roster Construction
Good: Only 62 games of this left.

Flames let Milano go and he’s producing around a point a game in Washington. Yay!

Stinker. Move on.

They'll rebound tomorrow and salvage the trip.

This season feels a lot like the covid shortened 2019/2020 season after Peters was let go.

The team would have a game or maybe two where they would look like they were turning a corner, and then they'd have a game like this and it would feel like they haven't made a step at all.

Just an unfortunate group to commit 7+ years to.

Didn’t watch, line combos a mess like usual? Sounded like Looch played too much again. Eat Bread show any signs of life?

I’m genuinely finding it difficult to be excited about this team for the next 8 years. Boring hockey. Horrible goaltending. The coach has lost his marbles. Just piss poor product to watch.

Do what Trent said from the other thread:

my checklist for the Flames:

-huberdeau must be played on line 1
-lines 1 and 2 must be given similar deployment as league average with 17-21 minutes per night each
-call up one of zary, pelletier or phillips and give them top 9 duty
-limit line 4 to 10 minutes or less
-you can only play 3 of Lewis, Ritchie, Rooney, Lucic per game
-restrict Lewis and Lucic from the top 6 - that cannot happen
-LEAVE it

i guarantee that with time things improve

And add one more.
- make Vladar the starter for now.

Time to relocate the team.

It's the only option at this point.

I’m not liking the makeup of this team. Simply not enough offensive talent. Also the head coach seems to be going out of his way to keep offense down with his line deployment.
