Lifetime Suspension

I quit on most shows. The only one that I feel bad for abandoning is Rick & Morty, I thought the 4th season was a bit weaker than the 3rd, drifted away and never came back.

Fuller House, it lacked the charm of the original.

I give up on a hell of a lot of shows before watching a full season, but as far as significant investments such as a season or more-
Downton Abbey- would like to finish
Vikings- watched too much too fast I think
House of Cards- any surprise?
Walking Dead- meh, could have been a movie
Handmaid's Tale- Would never have predicted this after the first couple
Bosch- was never that good
The Wire- not sure why. It was pretty awesome
Servant- was scaring my wife too much
Every Marvel show ever
Why didn't I give up:
Titans

After Lost I have not been giving TV shows much rope.
I was foolish then and expected there to be some sort of creative direction, or point they were building towards.

The Walking Dead - gave up a few years back, dont miss it
Westworld - gave up after a couple episodes into S3, had no idea WTF was going on
Suits - Got way too repetitive
Better Call Saul - covid delay/break and then never got back into it
Big Brother - such a time suck, glad its kicked to the curb

True Blood - needed less soap opera and more vampires committing the ultra-violence. Lasted into the third season.
Mad Men - figured out I could just use Google to see Christina Hendricks as often as I wanted.
Mr Robot - I tried to like it but I thought the protagonist needed multiple punches to the face, and these were distressingly absent.
The Walking Dead - lost me when they made it to the prison and it fully became a (poorly written) story of humans fighting other humans with zombies as set dressing.
The Bear - just didn't interest me, all that "chef!" crap made me wonder if all restaurants are run as fascist work camps.
Rings of Power - I've heard toddlers tell more interesting and credible stories, and I've seen better acting and costume design in "Power Rangers". Lasted two episodes. Wish I would have died in the pandemic instead of seeing Tolkien dug up and raped by grinning idiots.

GOAT!

Some good ones mentioned.
- Ozark, part way through (I think) season two.
- Weeds, during season four.
- Westworld, during season two.
- Ms. Marvel, middle of the second episode.
- Blacklist, loved this show, but it got really weird when the main chick went nuts and chained the other dude up in the bottom of a ship, and then Russians shot up her wedding (or something), I dunno. I hate when shows suddenly become all about the characters instead of the reason I started watching in the first place.
- House, the ONLY reason I didn't give up on this show is House and Wilson. Just incredibly brilliant characters, and long passed the point when the show became 100% about all the characters instead of the medical mysteries, I still tuned in to watch those two.
There are others I'm forgetting for sure.

Uh yeah, pretty much. It's a para-militaristic power dynamic.

I was gonna say not many, then started think about it.
~ 5 season of Suits, fell off it for a while, didn't really care too go back, the plot just seemed like a snake eating itself.
Haven't finished Stranger Things. Watched a few episodes of the new season. didn't really get that into it. will probably eventually go back.
Also watched most of the first season of Manifest, didn't care.
Madmen - too long.
Westworld - still have a few season 3 episode to finish.
I watch about 5 episode of the Marvelous Miss Maisle.
Me and the wife watch about half of season 2 of Why Women Kill, then she got into something else.
probably more.

I've quit a bunch of shows that have already been mentioned but Deadwood is the one I should love but after many tries I haven't been able to make it through season two. It just doesn't grab me.

How I Met Your Mother.
I watched Pennyworth for the first two seasons. It was hard for me to get through season 2 and I'm not sure I'll bother with season 3.
There are quite a few others but I just can't think of them.

Dexter - I gave it a couple seasons to grow on me, and it never did.
Game of Thrones - Another series that I have all the books of, but couldn't finish the TV show. My wife made it to Season 5. I made it halfway through 6 before giving up on it.
The CW Arrowverse - I was big into this for a while, but eventually got eye-rollingly bored with them. I lasted the longest with Flash, making it through 7 seasons.

if we're talking the first couple seasons that's shocking . amazing first half to that series
your intuition was soo right about game of thrones though . some would be envious of you for stopping where you did

I'm very curious why Better Call Saul is on your list. I consider it a more refined Breaking Bad experience.

the first season didn't take with me .. and yet I could see the potential it had moving forward .. I think it was just the long wait between seasons and missing the train on season 2 and then never getting round to it .. I love BB too

The two I can think of:
Westworld: I liked the first season but I didn't like the direction it was going in the second season and didn't bother watching the third season
Better Call Saul: I know there's people who said they liked it better than Breaking Bad but it never grew on me.

TWD
Billions
House of Cards
It's funny seeing the Wire and Mad Men listed here. As opposed to giving up on them, I'd list them as the very best (Mad Men) and top 5 (The Wire) shows I have ever watched.

Dammit! Disappointed to see Billions mentioned so often here. Often by people that list many of my favorite shows as theirs also.
I started it a few weeks ago and am just starting season 3. Seemed quite good so far.
Should I stop now?
Who has stuck with it and enjoyed it?
I started watching because I like Damian Lewis, and also enjoy a good story of finance and power. I heard he's eventually out of the show though, but have avoided any spoilers.

If you're interested in it for Daniel Day-Lewis, you're going to be sorely disappointed.
