I watched season 1 of Better Call Saul, haven't watched any since but probably will one day.
I watched season 1 of Yellowjackets, I doubt I will ever watch another episode of it.
The Walking Dead and Fear The Walking Dead, I can barely stomach either anymore. Especially Fear, my god it is awful. Nut I keep choking them both down somehow.

Suits - can't believe I was actually invested early on.. became such a joke haha
Billions - same story. Almost the exact same setup and downfall. 'I double cross you. Can we be friends now? Let's double-cross someone else"

Star Trek Discovery - same reasons everyone else has mentioned. Plot lines that should be an episode long take up a whole season. No character development.
Doctor Who - there was one Whittaker episode that literally was direct preaching to the audience at the end. I don’t think I consciously did so, but I didn’t watch any more of that season, and it took me a while to realize that I had given it up. Haven’t had a desire to restart.
Superstore - I think I was in season 3 or so, and there are zero likeable characters. Funny enough, but just unsatisfying.

Heroes was the most notable loss of the writers strike. So amazing to so horrible in 2 seasons.

Shows I've intentionally given up on -
Lost - watched thinking it was gonna be a Robinson Crusoe survivor type show, and then some weird stuff started happening and I gave up
The Walking Dead - Watched the first season, never bothered with anything after that
Mr. Robot - liked the first season, started the second and the gave up.
Westworld - I haven't officially given up yet, but haven't watched the new season yet and debating whether to or not. The first season was excellent, and the last two dull.
Shows I enjoyed but took a break, and just never made it back to -
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt -
Orange is the New Black - really liked both of the above, but just ended up never returning to it
House of Cards - Trump was elected and things became far more outrageous in real life than the actual show
Fargo - been meaning to get around to the non-Calgary season but haven't yet
Peaky Blinders - keep meaning to get back to it but it's been a few years now
Someone mentioned The Simpsons above. Surely that's a show we've all long given up on?
TBH I've become increasingly tired of this long form story telling and miss the days of say The X-Files where most episodes were standalone with a bit of mythology added in here and there. Most shows now seem stretched out to fill contractual obligations rather than to the service of the story. Most of the time I can't justify starting a 10 hour show which may end up having multiple seasons, unless it's something I'm really interested in.

Did Westworld ever get better? I actually enjoyed the first two seasons but the 3rd season lost me early.

Orange is the New Black was interesting for me, because it was getting worse and worse through the second season, and then the second season finale was just brilliant... literally one of my favorite TV episodes ever. And after watching it, I just decided that I was going to let the show go out on a high and not watch it again, because it would never again live up to how good that episode was.
Mad Men, I checked out on after a certain character death and I was just too pissed off at the show and never watched it again.
Six Feet Under, Ozark, Breaking Bad, Peaky Blinders are all other ones that I watched at least one season of but never finished. Peaky Blinders is the only one of those that I'm kinda tempted to resume.

Yeah, you're wrong, but it's okay have a completely wrong opinion.
Shows I intentionally gave up on:
-Outlander...but my wife makes me watch it with her (argh!)
-Simpsons. It's simultaneously my favorite AND least favorite show of all time. Incredible how they've turned me over time.
Shows I gave up on, but plan to go back to:
-Better Call Saul. I couldn't really maintain an interest, but people say it's great, so I should really go back and take another look.
-Stranger Things. There are moments when I love it and others where I think it's pretty hackey. I still get drawn back to checking it out every once in a while.
How about a show that you weren't sure about, but were glad that you gave it a chance?
For me, that show is Gilmore Girls. It seems like a sappy girly show that I wouldn't enjoy, but far from it. Same writers as Mrs. Maisel, so it has similar themes of family, and overcoming personal struggles as a lone female. It's witty and funny, but has real moments of authentic drama. The character work is great and you become heavily invested in the character's fate. It's very enjoyable but is easy to digest. I was shocked at how much I enjoyed it.

Those are a couple of mine as well. They were both combos of not having enough time but not having any desire to actually go back and catch up.
TWD like everyone else. Was a totally conscious decision.
One Netflix show I haven't seen mentioned I had to rage quit was Bloodlines Started off with a cool premise, but I got to the point I hated all the characters.

Yeah, it got pretty bad. One thing that kept me going back was the incessant voice in the back of my mind, "I could totally live down there."

Interesting. For me that would be Downton Abbey, for almost the same reasons.
And it was actually another show I gave up on for some unexplained reason.

The Wire - Have tried maybe 3 times now, just can't keep going. Seems to be such a slog.
Mad Men - I just kind of stopped watching, no real reason.

You'd think we'd all given up on The Simpsons but when you look at the ratings, someone's still watching the show. It's one of the top-rated shows on FOX still.
I agree about long form storytelling and it's a reason for why I've given up on a lot of the shows that I have. You get so far behind and it just feels daunting to try and catch up. With a family now, I'm lucky to get 30-60 minutes in an evening to watch something so it's not like I can just dedicate a weekend to powering through a season or two of some show that I'm not so sure I'm entertained by anymore.
