Apparently Mattress Mack is using these bet winnings to cover some promotions he had for if the Astros win the wold series. Not often the Sportsbooks take losses like that. Many of these were futures bets.

Well that was a tough way to lose.
But I have to ask what other options did you have besides the Colts on the road with an inexperienced QB making his second career start vs a Bellichick defence?
Odd day yesterday because the double digit favorites were playing teams with winning records. To get this deep in a Survivor pool this year would require some less conventional choices for sure.

Jesus. Worst typo ever. No idea what I was thinking when I posted.
I picked Bengals to win.
Because exactly what you said.
One more break last night and would have been nice payday.
I'm thinking I'll take Giants this week. Maybe

How in the world are the Saints favoured to beat the Rams?!? With all the injuries and now basically the entire OL out - down to 3rd stringers in multiple positions - they genuinely may not win another game the rest of the season. Feels like easy money to me.

The Rams are trash but yeah that line seems wrong.
EDIT: Mind you, Kupp is out and Stafford is just getting back from a concussion.

I took the Jets with 3 and the hook....they give up a last second TD to let New England cover....sigh.

Taking Dallas to choke on Thanksgiving seems to be one year over year trend you can back.

Week 13 survivor picks. We went from 200 people to 3 after seven weeks but still have those remaining.
Without the unnecessary blah, these are the choices I feel I have left for this week
CLE -7 @ HOU
SEA -8 @ LA
MIN -3 vs NYJ
It is my die hard policy to never pick road teams, but may have to change that this week.
Your thoughts/insight would be greatly appreciated.
(I have DAL left. Intended to use them next week).

Cleveland -7 seems like logical choice because Houston is so terrible. The Jets looked surprisingly good with their new QB and betting for or against them seems very difficult and unpredictable right now.

Cleveland is getting Watson back too. I would think he has more animosity towards the Texans than current Texans players and coaches have vs. Him since none of the guys he played with are still there.
But that is a dangerous game because Houston probably sees it as a last chance for a win and Cleveland might be feeling a bit sassy having just beat Brady.
Seattle...should be motivated to right things vs the Rams.

Yep was hoping Seattle would've lost yesterday, but they did not and everyone moves onto next week. This survivor pool you get 2 strikes and you're out. Myself and one other person have yet to get a strike. 12 others remaining that have 1 strike. Person with least amount of strikes wins.

Raiders come through in Raider fashion with a nice last second loss, which will eliminate one from our survivor pool. It will be me and another guy, assuming the Cowboys win, who we both have this week. Pot is $6800. I will agree to split if he does, even though I probably have an advantage given available teams left.

Well that game with Dallas last week might have shortened your life a bit.
Sharps seem to like the Seahawks with 3 and the hook. Division dogs and unders have been profitable on the season. So I'll back that.
Also put some pocket change on Brock Purdy under 29.5 pass attempts. Thought is that SF will want to limit the rookie QB on a short week with an oblique injury from too many throws by running the ball more often.

A lot of 7yd grabs won you some money
Two of us left for the $6800 survivor pot. I got the Vikings, they have Commanders. I guess there will be no split unless it goes through week 18

Well...go Giants!
These really late byes are odd. For a team like Indy who are pretty much done...tough to say how they will come out. Carolina who are still alive came out strong last week...the Cardinals...hard to say given how that game started with the Murray injury, obviously they didn't fare so well.
This Vikings team reminds me of the 2003 Chiefs. Good offensive team with a non-elite QB that isn't very good on D. Should be able to beat Indy at home though.
Commies are in that Panther situation and the Giants do look like they're running on fumes. But road teams in Division games have done okay so far this year.
