Disney fired their CEO and re-hired Bob Iger after they lost a gigantic stack of dollar dollar bills.
Iger doesn’t seem like the solution, as he oversaw this transition to garbage content…but Disney has become a creatively bankrupt company and it shows in the “content” that they’ve produced in recent years.
Watched elton John's last concert in America tonight . It was the first live event for them per Elton himself . I like Disney plus but I'm a animation need couldn't live without my king of the hill, simpsons,American dad ,etc...
Love my marvel . Add dc and we got something
I don't know disney plus has become more valuable as my niece and nephews age and If they add more live evens 13 bucks a month is well worth it.
Limitless is good, watched the first bit. Hemsworth travelling the globe looking at all the ways people stay healthy and live a longer life.
Interesting tidbit about Hemsworth that might be a spoiler but is all over the news right now, I will spoiler it anyway involving a health discovery and his future as an actor:
Spoiler!
He undertakes several genetic tests for the show, these expose he carries a few genes that make him 8-10x more likely to develop Alzheimers disease.
The doctor suggested he give him the results off camera, but he wanted to do it on camera for the series.
Honestly pretty powerful stuff. We are the same age, and both sides of my family one of the grandparents eventually developed the disease. As well as a cousin of mine who is quite young.
He had a good line about being terrified of growing old and not being able to remember the life he had with his wife and kids.
Apparently he wants to take a break from acting after this press tour, even said that if he does Thor again it would most likely be his last time.

For some reason I really enjoyed the Guardians of the Galaxy Christmas special, so much cheese.
Was mainly a Drax and Mantis special but Kevin Bacon was awesome.
I found my 2022 Christmas album. "I don't know what Chistmas is" is my new favorite song.

Willow premiered yesterday with the first two episodes. I thought it was good. The production seems really well done, there’s a few pretty iconic or nostalgic moments. The new cast seems overall pretty good. I wasn’t a huge fan of the curly haired girl in Falcon and Winter Soldier but I think I’ll like her character in this.
Overall it was really fun, light hearted and leans deep into the fantasy lord of this universe. I’m looking forward to more as this was the movie that got me into the genre. I was too young to know what LOTR was when this came out.
There’s one moment with the music that got me right in the feels.

I loved Willow growing up and I think I know exactly the music you're talking about! I'm happy to hear this is looking promising, I'll be starting it this weekend!
The first two episodes were just okay. I know it's early, but the pacing is already a problem. Episode 1 grew tedious when it became apparent Davis wasn't going to appear until the end.
I liked Dove/Elora, and the freed prisoner (Borman?) was decent comic relief, but others either started out annoying or quickly grated on me. Kit's constant complaining about Elora in the second episode got so tiresome. King (prince?) Graydon is the exact same character he was in Spiderman 1-3 so far.
Maybe a month ago I watched Willow, so it's pretty fresh on my mind. One thing that occurred to me last night is that Bavmorda didn't really die, she was banished to another realm when Willow pissed her off enough with the disappearing pig trick that she knocked over the banishment potion. She was basically Sauron'd. It's unclear to me who these new villains are, but I wonder if she's pulling their strings.
My suspicion after it was revealed Madmartigan 'went on a mission' is that we'll get a Val Kilmer cameo at some point. Hope so!
Not a lot of chatter in here about Willow since it's premiere.. I think it had a few really solid episodes with some great call backs to the original. The cast has been great honestly, I've been surprised by how likeable they are.
I believe next week is the finale, with a pretty decent set up from this weeks episode.
Anyone else watching?
