Really though... There's so many options for on-demand sports talk. What's the point of getting upset and/or constantly bitching about one particular program or segments of a particular program, other than to simply bitch.

Find something else to listen to. Life is too short to waste energy being angry that Rusic and Rose are taking listener phone calls, or that Boomer and Rhett only talk about food and farts, when you can simply not listen... Lol.

That's what I choose to do. But I want to thank the people who have been complaining about those shows in this thread, because they have helped inform my choice. They've saved me from wasting my time by trying something that I can tell I would not enjoy.

I agree they're finding their way and think they're fine (not great, but fine), we were just spoiled for so long. But that dragon segment needs to be put out to pasture.

Yeah, maybe it was bad timing. I just couldn’t believe that they were playing dragon noises and pretending to interpret them as some kind of hot take…which wasn’t all that hot to begin with. Now that you mention Toronto radio though, it must be terrible. Whenever they piped in the Toronto show in the summer it was incredibly boring.

Are people enjoying boomers new show? It just seems so… bland. No drops or anything. Seems a bit half assed and short.

I really enjoyed their morning show when it was on. But this just seems boring.

it is highly watchable if I'm honest . I thought the same at first but keep circling back and it has improved each time . short and sweet is better than drawn out

I'll give Rusic and Rose some credit -- when actual guests are on I feel they do a good with asking questions and making it entertaining. The problem is the anytime there isn't a guest -- IMO it's boring at best and cringeworthy at worst.

I don't know if they get feedback but hopefully they continue to work on it because there is potential but there's a lot more misses than hits.

I think Rusic and Rose are doing fine for the most part, all things considered.

But I am loving Barn Burner and I hope it has a long run.

Holy God this morning show. They have so little Flames content and honestly the skits and or bits are horrendous.

So much radio talent recently let go and this was the choice. Miss my morning Flames talk before work.

I load up the Barn Burner podcast and haven't listed to the morning show in over a month.

It's actually perfect because I listen to half the pod on the way to work, and half the pod on the way home. Crystal clear sound and no annoying call-ins.

I just wanted to bump this thread and mention that the 9:00-10:00 Donnovan Bennett show is hands down the worst sports talk radio I have ever heard. If there's a hell is would be a dark room with this radio show playing 24/7.

^ Yep. The show can actually have interesting material to discuss but the monotone voice of the host just kills it immediately. Especially right after lunch when I'm already half asleep.

I'm in Toronto for work and was listening to the FAN590 here this morning and their hosts are planning to attack the FAN960 by flooding their text line with Bieber lyrics lol as payback for FAN960 listeners blowing out the 590 text line last week with what their new goal song should be. I sent the boys at 960 a warning text so they're prepared haha.

Going to be chaos today.
