I'd like to see an episode of Lower Decks where they go to cat-doctor's homeworld, and we get to see all sorts of weird cat alien stuff. Could be a good setting for some hijinx.
I was hoping for more weird California city names for the ships. Like the USS Rancho Cucamonga, the USS Zzyzx, or the USS City of Industry and its sister ship the USS City of Commerce. They could have had Ice Cube do a guest voice as the captain of the USS Compton.

I know this isn't everybody's cup of tea, but it's been like a 30-year tradition for me. I got a call from Sandstone Pharmacy today who seems to have taken over Hallmark ornaments in Calgary: got this year's SNW Enterprise!
It used to be a thing my mom got me for Christmas, but she's more of the "yeah, #### this" persuasion when it comes to getting things that are hard to find.

Time to bring this thread back to life with the new / final season of Picard just a few weeks away. They released a final trailer yesterday and while I don't want to be hyped up and let down again, it's a pretty hype trailer with some great scenes for TNG fans. Looking forward to what they do here, hoping they don't screw it up.

Noooooooooope.
This looks like an action movie with Bruce Willis and Liam Neeson when it was clear they should no longer be making action movies.
Starfleet is indeed in dire straits if their only hope for survival is rummaging through the 'Old Spacefarer's Home' and pillaging some antique and retired former officers.
WTF have you been doing in the meantime Starfleet?
You may as well go and dig up Kirk and 'Weekend at Bernie's' him and Spock through another Galactic Crisis.
Dont get me wrong...I'm going to watch it. But I'm not going to be happy about it.
I tried to forgive Season 1....and then they stabbed me in the heart with Season 2. I'm not falling for that again.

I will be falling for it again because I like the cast. Does this make me a sucker?
Yes. But frankly in a lot of ways this is really likely what this show should have been. Give this cast their own Undiscovered Country swan song and then call it a day. The second season may have been one of the worst things I've watched all of in recent memory.

I didn't write out a damn bingo card not to watch. Its like an insurance policy against disappointment. If the show is terrible I can still play bingo with it. If the show is awesome the show is awesome.

Picard has an irrational fear of lights now due to his Cardassian interrogation.
But I agree.
Lights and some carpets please. Say what you will of JJ Verse but his starships were blindingly bright as hell.
I never understood the hate for the JJ movies. They really got the spirit of the show, especially the first movie in 2009. Its easily my favorite one in the franchise. So much heart. If you go back and read over all the gripes people had with it when it came out now we've seen the disaster of Picard thus far you'll wonder wtf everyone was going on about.

There's some guy on Twitter that hates Discovery and S1 and S2 of Picard, who has seen S3 and says it's fantastic. So, take that for what it's worth. We'll all know for sure in a few weeks!
