Do we think Ryan McAllister will get NHL interest? What's the scoop on him?

Hope I get this right, so anyone can correct me if I'm wrong. He's too old to be drafted, but he's not eligible to be signed until the end of his freshman year. At that time, he can sign with an NHL team, but he wouldn't be able to return to the NCAA after signing that contract. He was slated to attend the Golden Knights rookie camp in July, so teams are taking notice. I just read a few articles from a Flyers site, where the writer was urging them to sign McAllister (and/or a couple of his Bandits teammates) before other teams take notice. The Flames may not have any inside track, as McAllister is originally from London,ON.

A few more quick facts:

-McAllister is the highest scoring Bandit in franchise history, at 139 pts.
-In addition to being named MVP of the AJHL,he was the MVP of the CJHL, comprised of 9 leagues across Canada.
-Only the 2nd skater in Bandits history to score 50 or more goals in a season. The record holder is his teammate TJ Hughes, who scored 66.
-The last player in the AJHL to score 130+points in a year was in 1997-98, when Mike Comrie scored 138 pts.

EDIT: Interestingly enough, McAllister's former teammate, 21 yo TJ Hughes, is playing this year in the NCAA for powerhouse Michigan, and is their 3rd leading scorer with 7g/7a/14pts in 12 games. The two players ahead of him in scoring are Mackie Samoskevich, and 2023 Draft darling Adam Fantilli. He also plays with Luke Hughes, Dylan Duke, Rutger McGroarty, Seamus Casey, and Jacob Truscott.

Sergeev is only 19. I can see a sophomore season at least before turning pro.

Sergeev is battling with 20 year old Logan Terness for the #1 goalie position at UCONN. Currently they seem to be splitting games but Terness has the better numbers.
I wonder if Sergeev weighs his options as far as furthering his development and considers going pro.

He may be able to switch schools for next year too if it looks like he is riding the pine to much. If he puts up good numbers and other schools are looking for a goalie.

How NHL-ready do we think Coronato will be by the end of the season?

IMO, it almost doesn't matter. The question is- does Sutter give him a chance? I think most teams would give this kid a shot in the lineup, but ultimately, I believe he'll spend a bit of time with the Wranglers. The Avs' highly touted prospect, Alex Newhook (who is of a similar size and skillset to MC), was drafted in the first round (#16), and spent parts of the last 2 seasons in the minors, after 2 seasons in the NCAA. There are plenty of similarities between the two players statistically.

Coronato is tied for 3rd in the NCAA in Pts/g with 1.57. Three of his teammates, Sean Farrell, Alex Laferiere, and Henry Thrun, are also in the top-10 in this statistic. Are Coronato's stats a little inflated because of this? Even mighty Michigan doesn't have that.

Coronato scores the winning goal in the shootout, but apparently the teams just did it for fun and the result won't count. 4-4 tie

Coronato completely shut down Fantilli, and dominated him 5 on 5. He was 19 for 28 in the faceoff circle, including 5 for 5 vs Fantilli in the 1st period. Seemed like Michigan coach tried to keep Fantilli away from Coronato for much of the rest of the game. Coronato didn't put up any points, but I'm not sure that was his primary role today

Looks like that was Harvard's only goal, as they lose to Michigan, 4-1. Fantilli was held to 1a.

Coronato gets 2a,+2 in a 2-1 OT victory over Cornell.

Segeev played the 3rd period tonight against Merrimack, in relief of Logan Terness. He played 19:41, facing 3 shots with 1 goal against. UConn loses 7-3.

I really don't know what more you could ask for of a rookie NCAA goalie in that division. What a year so far.
