What a day for him. Zero bogeys and just catapults up to a share of the lead heading into the weekend.

5 of 6 Canadians made the cut too which seems like it might be at least tied for a record going by memory.

Start one if you want DoubleK, you're the best contributor to this thread (on non-liv matters anyway :-) )This is the last of the wraparound seasons, right? And then we go to calendar year after next December?

Two clutch par saves on 18 and then seals it with a birdie. Nice job.

Huge for Hughes. Locks up a couple more years of exemptions.

Just watched on DVR. Hughes was talking early in the week how he felt a bit dissed not getting on Presidents Cup team( since it was in his now home city) and said they could have used a good putter. He certainly backed that up with his performance today. So many clutch putts and a great win! His ball striking looks much better than when he was last on the playing well and on tv too. Hopefully he puts together a nice season.

Hughes is up to #51 in the OWGR. Hopefully he can get inside the top 50 and stay there.

-7 was only good enough to get you into a 6 for 1 playoff to Monday qualify for the Shriners.

It's crazy how hard it is to get a start on the PGA Tour.

Svensson birdied 2 of the last 3 to earn his first win!

Nerves of steel. right when most non winners would have choked under the pressure, he made dynamite drives, approaches and putts to put it away before having to walk up to the 18th.

Amazing. I wonder if this is the first time in Fed Ex Cup history that two Canadians are in the top 10? (yes, I know it's early, but still).

It's awesome to see for a guy like Svensson to win when he's been up and down between Korn Ferry and barely holding on to his card. To play golf that well when a win is so life changing is always amazing to me.

Definitely a solid start to this season for Canadians, with him and Hughes winning and Hadwin playing strongly. If Connors can figure out how to putt again and Pendrith keeps improving, they make for a pretty strong contingent.
