Because inter are blocked from 2 teams, brugge by 1

Bayern and liverpool have such a higher average than everyone else is because both are blocked by their group team, plus 3 in country

Those odds are done usually by running a monte carlo simulation of the draw with the rules in place

Um. I guess Pique is retiring. Like...almost immediately.

Quote:
Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has announced that he will retire from football when the Spanish league breaks for the World Cup this month.

Pique, 35, says Saturday's match against Almeria in LaLiga will be his last at Camp Nou for the Catalan club after 14 years in the first team following his return from Manchester United in 2008.

Pique, Busquets and Alba have all readjusted their salaries and agreed to reductions and deferrals on their wages at various points in recent years to help the club deal with a difficult financial situation.
https://global.espn.com/football/bar...-game-saturday

And yeah...I'd guess its almost certainly to get his salary off Barca's wage-bill. He will likely become an 'Ambassador' where his wages dont count against Barca's...'cap?' Whatever the Spanish League wants to call it.

All group winners: May we get Brugge
All group runners up: May we get Benfica
The draw: Brugge vs Benfica!

PSG-Bayern, Liverpool-Madrid, and Milan-Spurs will all be lots of fun.

Would love to go to Milan or London for one of those legs.

Quick question, are players cup-tied when their clubs are relegated from Champions League to Europa? i.e; FdJ

Milan were first knockout opponent spurs had under Redknapp

Late winner at the san siro by crouch

Great call by I believe martin tyler of lennon... Lennon... LENNON as he dribbled past the defender before setting crouch up

Also wJoeJordon was seconds away from just ending Gattuso during some sideline handbags

I went to an AC Milan game 2 months ago at the San Siro. I highly recommend it.

The Juventus board, including president Andrea Agnelli and vice-chairman Pavel Nedved, have decided to resign ahead of the Italian club’s upcoming extraordinary assembly.

The collective resignation comes after the club’s financial statements underwent scrutiny by prosecutors and the Italian market regulator in recent months for alleged false accounting and market manipulation.

this might impact Spurs too. There's reports in Italy that Paratici is investigated for fraud ... apparently authorities are preparing an arrest warrant.

They have a 'Fraud' statute in Italy? Since when?

Germans getting injured while trying to ski ... as an Austrian, I'm absolutely shocked.

on a serious note, sucks for him obviously. Also surprised, you'd imagine those guys had contract clauses that bar them from taking up dangerous activities.

Kicked off in Melbourne derby today when fans from both teams were already planning to leave after 20 mins to protest the league giving Sydney the rights to hose the next 3 championship games as opposed to them played at home grounds.

When a flare went onto the field and the goalie throws it back into the crowd it was on. Goalie got cut open by the metal bin used to dispose of flares (and stuff inside it).
