Very entertaining game and it didn't need 1200 yards and 117 points scored to be such.

A mere 1000 yards and 66 points.

Who says defensive battles can’t be fun?

Is there any scenario for Georgia winning that sees Alabama knocked out of the playoffs?

I had a look at the playoff standings and if Georgia wins by 2 or more scores, they'd have the same record, and the win in the SEC championship. Hell, isn't a win enough? If they wind up both 12-1? I guess that would mean Georgia Notre Dame Clemson and then.. Bama or Oklahoma..

they wont leave a 1 loss Alabama team out....particularly a neutral field loss that for all intents is a home game for Georgia.

so yeah, unless bama gets shallacked here... oklahoma is in tough

actually. funny enough, if bama wins oklahoma will surely make it.

its a georgia win that screws them. unless georgia just wrecks alabama. how weird.

So lucky to have the ball bounce back into his hands.

That would be picking a 12-1 team that did not win its own conference over a 12-1 team that did. OU looked pretty good in their win today. A 12-1 conference champion has never not been selected so there really is no precedence to pick Bama over OU (or OSU if they win big).

Tough decision for the committee but to take Alabama if they lose would surprise me. And probably cause enough discontent among every league other than the SEC to change how things are done.

Bama looking pretty ordinary today which will not help their cause if they end up losing

I wish the committee would just consider these championship games as quarter finals. With only 4 teams, teams should need to win their conference to go.

Big 10 and Big 12 being left out should make them move to 8 teams though.

It would be weird to put Alabama as a 4 seed when they'd probably be favored against all playoff teams. Nice reward for the 1 seed.

They would be taking the 1 loss team that lost its only game at a neutral site/road game to a conference champion, over a 1 loss team that lost by 29 to 6-6 team.

No brainer.

UCF storms back and is up a couple touchdowns now. Never count out the defending national champs.

No. OU also lost their only game at a neutral site and only by 3.

Bama looks like they are threatening to make this close so it might be moot.

OU vs. Alabama, if the committee has to choose. Both teams would be 12-1, both would have lost their only game at a neutral site. both losses would have been in close games. One team won their league, one would not have.

And UCF has come all the way back. Wow.

Sorry i was talking about Ohio St.....not Oklahoma.

It would come down to strength of schedule IMO with OK and Alabama.....which Bama also is ahead on.

But yes Bama lookin like Bama now so it isnt going to matter.
