And...okay...understand that nothing about to say are 'facts.' Just guesses.

Maybe they got some people together under contract and then realized that instead of a 90-120 minute movie they could, for the same price, generate ~300 minutes of content and, for the same price, make more money?

I dont know.

Used to like the show but dropped off after I can't remember which season. Was interested, so watched the above trailer, but I'm noping out of watching this reboot or whatever it is. Looks terrible.

I'll check this one out.

TWD was never the same after Rick left, they should have ended it then. But it's a cash cow so we got multiple more seasons of a played out genre and now multiple spin offs.

I only watched one episode of the Maggie/Negan spin off and part of one episode of Darryl's show. I've also yet to complete FTWD and don't know if I ever will.

The original was great though, for about 6 years or so.

Welp.

My early review is...my socks are still firmly affixed to my feet.

It was neat seeing Rick again. Theres a new kind of world going on...I'm thinking I can guess how this is going to go.

But we're not discovering new Worlds here as far as I can see.

I liked the Negan and Darryl series intros better.

E2.

Better, but still not great. They have all of these characters that they dont flesh out, dont really explain their motivations and kind of leave us guessing.

Why don't Rick and Michonne just live there? Find a way to get Judith and RJ, and stay in the city. Seems like a pretty good situation there considering the way the world has gone.

Le sigh...

Which...at many times could be the official Motto for 'The Walking Dead.'

I'm sure there is some big bad reason why it's not a utopia. Or if it is a utopia, something bad will happen and most will die. The Walking Dead cycle!

This was my gripe with the original show from the beginning. Too many shallow peripheral characters that are never really given depth but we're expected to care for. I guess it makes sense for a show that comes with people dying every episode or two, but you just grow tired of having randos show up and having none of their "moments" feel earned in any way.

And...if I may say...for the love of GOD! CLOSE DOORS BEHIND YOU!!!

One day when I'm Supreme Ruler of a Zombie Occupied Earth, people shall be befuddled at my ultimate survival mechanism!

"That guy doesnt look like a great Warrior...How has he survived this long??"

- "Well. Uh. He, uh, he closes doors behind him and the Walkers just could never get him..."

"My God...he's a genius!!"

Look...TWD is like an Opiate. You don't want to keep on going, but you just have to. You NEED TO KNOW where its going to take you next. Even if its someplace you really don't want to be.

Thanks for taking one for the team and staying dedicated!

I periodically check back in to see if things ever get any better but it seems the answer is always no. So instead of remaining emotionally invested and spending hours of my life watching unfulfilling media, I just check here to get the summary every few months!
