Maybe they got some people together under contract and then realized that instead of a 90-120 minute movie they could, for the same price, generate ~300 minutes of content and, for the same price, make more money?

Used to like the show but dropped off after I can't remember which season. Was interested, so watched the above trailer, but I'm noping out of watching this reboot or whatever it is. Looks terrible.
TWD was never the same after Rick left, they should have ended it then. But it's a cash cow so we got multiple more seasons of a played out genre and now multiple spin offs.
I only watched one episode of the Maggie/Negan spin off and part of one episode of Darryl's show. I've also yet to complete FTWD and don't know if I ever will.
The original was great though, for about 6 years or so.

This was my gripe with the original show from the beginning. Too many shallow peripheral characters that are never really given depth but we're expected to care for. I guess it makes sense for a show that comes with people dying every episode or two, but you just grow tired of having randos show up and having none of their "moments" feel earned in any way.

Michonne does nothing but bitch and bitch and bitch at Rick for trying to save Alexandria, forces him into a decision against his better judgement, that judgement eventually turns out to have been sound and then she 180-degrees just changes her mind as she finally grasps what Rick has been telling her all along and realizes that he was right the whole time.
WTF are they doing? Michonne is not supposed to be this stupid. She was always this really great character and now they've transformed her into some 'dumb woman' caricature? Do not like.
But at least 'Bowl Cut Lady' is finally gone.
Theres one episode left? Nothing has happened.
