"Oh you just bought Titanfall a month ago at launch at full price?

Sure would be a shame... if.... we dropped the price a month later!"

Oh EA, don't ever change. For every good game and decision they make, they #### out ten horrible ones.

I have no problem with that. What I hate is that getting all of Mass Effect 2's DLC costs $45. Why does it cost $55 for a "complete edition" of a game that's almost five years old? That's what EA should be putting on sale.

Last edited by SebC; 04-18-2014 at 10:21 PM. Reason: Steam sales have ME2 at $5, EA has it at $10!

Purchased Crysis 3 and am really enjoying it so far. Just need Watch Dogs to be released and Bioshock Infinite DLC's to go on sale then good bye social life!

SebC is exactly right. I posted in the video game thread about how games for gold put assassin's creed 2 for free, and because I loved it so much, I am now a purchaser of the series. To me, that is a huge win for ubisoft.

I just don't understand why some of the older last gen game costs so much when the development costs have already been sunk years ago.

If these publishers want to create interest in a property and the current iteration, discount the old one.

I'm done with EA. I remember buying battlefield 4, really enjoyed it and played it a lot, then a month after the purchase they wanted another $15 for the xpansion.

It's not even a price issue, I'm sure I would get my money's worth for the $15 bucks, it's just the issue of forcing me to pay more to keep playing, so soon after buying the game. well I actually don't even know why I had such a big problem buying the xpansion, It just pissed me off and EA will never get another cent from me.

Well I'm positive that if you consider a company worth boycotting in an industry as inconsequential as video games, you're hilarious.

Yeah, #### a company that supports their game with OPTIONAL content. DLC is always released either "too soon" or "too late." EA didn't force you to buy it. They didn't come to your house and hold a gun to your head. God damn. People bitch and whine about the stupidest things.

So you're effectively saying it's wrong to be passionate about video games? What's wrong with choosing to not support a company that is the biggest promoter of anti-consumer policies in the "inconsequential" video game industry, like EA does?

What I think is hilarious is you getting worked up about the people getting worked about EA.

This is rich coming from a guy who seems to have an unhealthy obsession with trying to bait people with thread titles about EA, then bash people for disliking the company and its practices.

What's hilarious is why you seem to care so much about what people think about EA, and it goes well beyond this thread.

Just play vanilla BF4? I mean more often than not the best servers are just the base game.

As someone pointed out, the DLC is optional. You can still play the game.

Not really, It's my money and I can choose to spend it however I please, is that ok with you?

Not to long ago, you could shell out $60 for a game and actually have the game in its entirety. You got a completed game that was hopefully not full of bugs and balance issues, and you didn't have to continuously buy DLC's and expansions. Maybe a few years later an expansion would come out and it would actually have some content in it.

What do you even get for the $15 DLC, a couple maps and a few items skins? Why are these things not included in the original game? How come all of a sudden things like MAPS are now something you have to pay more for. They should be releasing minor updates like those just keep selling the original game.

Maybe some people just don't like being nickle'd and dimed for everything. And ya big shocker that I want to say my 20 cents about EA games in a thread about EA games, I know, craziness. No need to get sanctimonious about people saying they don't like something.

I love the Bethesda DLC's for Fall Out and Elder Scrolls. They do a fantastic job.
