Are you the subject of the origin of the CP meme "have you considered joining the army?"

Because that was funny.

I ask because graphic design seems to be something that my kid is gravitating towards as he enters high school.
Graphic design seems like something that will be 98% replaced by AI tools in the next decade.

I have an intern who is working for me doing bookkeeping who has an education in Graphic Design.

It. Is. Brutal.

As an industry.

Employers prey upon people's passions and expect a lot for very little money and play designers off against each other to grind down costs and furthermore it is an industry that is rapidly being automated.

My own personal interest honestly changed as far as what I want to do for a living. I still do stuff as a hobby on the side. Graphic Design doesn't pay the most but it is fulfilling when you see someone use your work for a logo, a brochure, etc. I'm sure your so will do fine if that's the path he wants to take

Yeah. That was a bad mental health time. The joke was funny though I'll admit

I fully expect that within my kids lifetime they will be fully living off UBI and AI will be doing the vast majority of work. The only work that will be available will be skilled trades like plumbing, electrical and mechincal services on site.

Does your credit score drop as you pay off debts?

Assuming you’re not simultaneously doing other things that could negatively impact your score it shouldn’t be dropping as you pay off debts. If you’re paying off credit cards and close an account after it’s paid off instead of leaving it open with no balance then your percentage of overall available credit being used that is reported to the credit bureau will increase which could negatively impact your score.

A friend asked me. I used to know this but have been out of the business a few years.

Don’t know if this deserves its own thread so I’ll ask here.

Anyone able to recommend Bluetooth *headband* headphones that aren’t hot from Amazon. I get very warm and don’t want ones that’ll make me hotter. It’s for exercising and sleeping.

Yeah, I would not consider that career now. I wouldn't necessarily leave it if I was already established and making money, either. But I'd definitely have an exit strategy in the coming years.

What's the best breathable T-shirts shirts for summer on a budget? Like for working outdoors.

Costco has the 3 pack. They are amazing for the price. 3 for $15 I believe.

Edit: https://www.costco.ca/32-degrees-men...colour%3ablack

In store they were $12 few days ago with a discount.

If you can get someone to get you a gift card you can shop there without one.

I feel like the ratchet is super underrated. Awesome in so many ways, doesn't have the same flaws as some of its brethren... but because the last name ain't "wrench", ratchet doesn't get the respect it deserves.
