Insurance Broker Recommendations

My insurance renewal came in, and my auto has gotten insanely high. I did some online quotes, and Aviva came in like $1000 under.

My current broker transitioned to BrokerLink, and doesn't seem to deal with Aviva.

Does anyone have a broker they'd recommend? Ideally an independent so I get more options?

Even after finding a broker get some quotes on your own. Takes basically no time.

I have been dealing with Darren Roy at Touchstone, he's been great for me service wise- Prices have really gone up though but I've called around and never found anything cheaper

I've been using Rigby Insurance since I was 16, and it was recently bought out by Westland Insurance. I've stayed with Westland and the service and rates have been pretty good!

I've been with Lane's for the past decade. Never had any issues with them.

I've used these guys for years, they just helped my mother in law with her car insurance which the company she'd been with for years were going to double it. They got the price down to less than what she'd paid the year before. I suppose I trust them as much as you can trust any of these guys.

I've used Bill Eckhart at Touchstone for years. He's pretty popular on another Calgary car-based forum and I've had no issues.

Surprisingly, they were getting cheaper quotes from the same providers as other brokers, including Touchstone. Wawanesa was cheapest for my house, and there rate was several hundred lower for whatever reason.

They definitely don't have as many options as the independents, and really try ram you into Intact for auto insurance.
