I tried the deep fried Doritos - very underwhelming. They needed a bit of a kick.

Also tried the chocolate-dipped jalapeno and the very good cochinita pibil. Hopefully that will still be available from the Mexican food truck (can't remember its exact name).

Went to the rodeo finals yesterday and had a blast. I love the rodeo and the whole atmosphere, and we had great weather for it too. The moto cross kick-off was a bonus too. The only food I tried out was the bacon wrapped corndog. It was pretty good with the honey and bacon bits it came with.

But I'm glad it's over for another year. The smell of pancakes and beef on a bun was starting to make me feel ill.

I was just worried that after making some good strides in controlling my intake that I would fall into old habits with the justification that Stampede only comes once a year.

Random shot in the dark: Anyone have any idea what the store was called in the roundup centre that sold the sheepskin rugs?

I wanted to grab one the day I was there but forgot and didn't want to pay for admission again. Anyone know? I have a feeling their not in calgary but their prices seemed decent so I might be willing to get it shipped.
