Gulutzan says playing prospects on lines with established veterans in camp is by design to see how they fare. #Flames

And even if they beat a limping Ducks team to end the curse, I truly believe once it's broken it's broken. It's been entirely psychological to this point, because of the distraction of the 'streak' leading up to every game there, which leads to frustration during the games and more losses. What they need is any sort of win to prove that they can do it in that building then we could see things go the other way even. #lawofaverages

On Pribyl's injury sustained this morning, Gulutzan says he'll be evaluated later but doubtful he'll be on the ice tomorrow. #Flames

No specifics yet, but #Flames head coach Glen Gulutzan says some franchise fitness records were erased during Thursday's testing.

It would be awesome if it was Brouwer. If he turns it around, what a deep team.

Wes Gilbertson @WesGilbertson
According to Gulutzan, #Flames RW Troy Brouwer is seven or eight pounds lighter than last season. "He is in fantastic condition."

Geezuz, I had to re-read this a couple of times. I thought they lost all of their data from the fitness tests. Cripes.

That is a huge relief.

Nobody is expecting Troy Brouwer to go "all world" this season, but a serious commitment to getting back on track is a huge uptick for the season. I know Stajan felt he lost a step two years ago and got in the best shape of his life for last season. Made a huge difference.

This is great, he seems like a proud person and probably did not like what happened last year.

Do you think Tkachuk did the bike test with him chewing on his mouthguard?

Seems like a thing he would do.

He went down instantly. Gio went over and talked to him and then called the trainer over. He wasn't putting any weight on his leg as he was helped off the ice. It all looked pretty innocent, so I wouldn't be surprised if he re-tweaked whatever injury he had last season.

I thought Brouwer and Jankowski looked pretty good together.

Lazar-Janko-Brouwer is something I'd like to see if Versteeg-Bennett-Foo become a line.

I think they're trying foo out there to see if it works and if it doesn't, then Jagr would be signed to fill that spot.
