ON WITH THE BODY COUNT!!!

I loved these guys back in the day! It helped that I already liked Ice-T to begin with though, haha.

The Galactic Cowboys are back after a 17 year hiatus, still sound how they used to.

We’ll they pretty never really sounded like anyone else so why change! I grew up with King’s X and Galactic Cowboys and was super excited for the new album. It’s a good one IMO. A lot of fun to listen to and to play.

No new Kings X on the horizon but a new Ty Tabor solo release next month and Dug Pinnick is forever busy with his various side projects. The last KXM album was great (Luzier, Pinnick and Lynch). As was the last Jelly Jam album from one of Ty’s side projects (Tabor, Myung, Morgenstein).

I've heard King's X are working on a new album but they don't seem to be in a rush.

The original Motorhead lineup is sadly reunited. RIP Fast Eddie Clarke.

That's not the original line up, though. Lemmy, Eddie and Phil is the classic line up.

The original line up was Lemmy, Larry Wallis (guitar) and (can't remember his first name) Fox (drums).

Lucas Fox.

you're right - classic vs original. That'll teach me to skimp on my research...

Ty is releasing a solo album tomorrow. Dug is recording KXM3 right now. Both have said in various interviews they are also currently writing for the next King's X album and last I saw Ty thinks it'll be out before end of year.

I talk to Ty tomorrow...I'll let you know. (No I don't know him..it's a promotional type thing for his solo album)

Massive King's X fan here, I've seen them a total of 14 times and only one of those times was in Calgary. If pressed I would have to say they're my absolute favorite, as incredible as they are in the studio it's a whole other level when you're standing in front of them. Love that band.

Let me know if you get any interesting news and ask how Jerry's health is!

Mostly just shot the #### but he has started writing for a new album. They expect to get together when Dug is finished up with KXM stuff. Aiming for later 2018 release. Pretty much what he has said in some recent interviews for this solo album.

Not sure if I have posted Skeletonwitch yet - amazing old school riffs and time changes. The entire album is fantastic.

It's a shame their 2nd visit here was pretty poorly attended (1st time here was a packed house), if I recall poorly promoted and the same night as a big rock concert, probably didn't exactly encourage them to come back. Both great shows though.

Skeleton Witch is awesome. I have seen them live a few times and they always put on a great show. In the last few years they replaced their vocalist. I had a chance to catch them live with the new guy , and it was still really good.

I just really liked Garnette, I am still torn on Nile as well.

But yah, still a great band that many people don't have a clue about. That song I posted is brilliant.

This is my favourite SkeletonWitch song. I like to listen to it when I wake up in the morning.

^ They really have great intros, you can tell they put a lot of thought into their songs. Amon Amarth (different music altogether) is another band that just seems to have epic intros and riffs all the time.

Kings X is grossly underrated. They should've ruled radio rock through the 90s IMO. Gretchen Goes to Nebraska blew my lid off first time I heard it.

Pumped for the upcoming Kreator and Enslaved shows.

Had a chance to listen several times now and while more hard rock than metal, Tabor's new album is very good.
