Does this and the Lomberg signing use up the last of the 50 contract spots?

So him and Gillies in Stockton? Does Rittich get a shot at the back up position with the big club? Sounds like he's had a great year.

The release on Lomberg says that his contract starts next season.

Unclear if Parson's contract start this year or next. Would assume it starts next season.

We have a lot of goalie prospects.

Gillies, McDonald & Parsons are the blue-chippers.

Rittich has been surprisingly good in the AHL. McCollum & Schneider on the books as well. How on Earth can we accommodate all these guys?

Those who have seen Rittich: does he look like he could back-up Elliott or whoever is number 1 next season?

This guy is a C level prospect at best.

Very excited about the rest of the guys though particularly Parsons and Gillies.

Thanks. Just wanted to make sure.

Fine with both these signings. Was just wondering if there was still room for a college/junior free agent signing. Not that it was important to do so.

Is McDonald a blue chip prospect?

I remember saying this when we had Krahn, McElhinney, Keetley, and Irving.

McDonald is a highly regarded 20-year-old goalie. You can't write off a goalie prospect until they're at least 25.

What is bad news for him is that Parsons and probably Rittich as well have leapfrogged him in the depth chart. I think Mason might be looking at a couple more years in the ECHL...

Parsons seems to be incredibly highly-regarded by pundits like Button etc. Does he jump straight to the top of the pile of goalie prospects? Where the hell does he play?!

I would normally say this is a good problem to have, but since all these players are old enough to play professionally we kind of need them, all of them, to log huge minutes so they can develop thoroughly. Going to be tough to accommodate them all.

I think based on his last calendar year, I may have Parsons as one of my top prospects on the Flames now. Ahead of Gillies.

That's literally based on almost 0 first hand viewing of either. But everything I've seen (World Jrs) and heard for Parsons has been spectacular.

Craig Button had Parsons as the #12 prospect as of last month.
