Teravainen (75) - Zibanejad (81) - Marner (78)
Parise (72) - Cirelli (73) - Mantha (72)
Burakovsky (72) - Horvat (72) - Beauvillier (70)
Bertuzzi (70) - Kempe (69) - Greenway (68)
Extras: Bratt (67), White (65)

Parayko (75) - Suter (74)
Severson (72) - Edmundson (71)
Lindholm (69) - Klingberg (69)
Extras: Gavrikov (69), Girard (68)

Hellebuyck (89)
Khudobin (82)
Georgiev (80)

Probably heading into the season with this. Think we can compete with any team in the league. A bit of a younger team, but Suter and Parise will help the leadership and Horvat and Zibanejad are young leaders. Got the highest rated goalie and highest rated player in the league and have depth throughout the lineup. As DTMB said, the pacific division is tough, and I think there could be a three headed monster with us, the Ducks and the Sharks. Who knows though, the sim does it's own thing

Man that team is ridiculous.

I have no idea how Girard is only a 68 and Klingberg is only a 69 either, both of those guys seem like their rating is way too low for their real life play.

Girard especially is a guy that's 34 point dman, that plays top pairing minutes on the best team in the west...how is that rated 68 and he's your 8th d-man.

Honestly both those guys should probably be rated 72/73 at least - both are better than Severson IMO and in real life are in the same class as Parayko.

If there was a process to challenge the ratings pack i'd be doing it for those two guys for sure - honestly looking at the overall ratings pack I have no idea how Girard is rated so low.

Yeah Edmonton has done an incredible job of building a truly dominant team with a bright future.

Can't relate, honestly.

Agreed. I went out and got Severson because of those guys rating low. I thought Klingberg, Girard and even Lindholm would be higher than Edmundson for sure, who randomly has a high rating while those guys have low ratings.

Pacific Division is absolutely silly.

Great looking team Edmonton. Between them and SJS, there will be a lot of tough games.

And the Flames will be a solid team in a year but competitive now.

Yikes.

Habs lines
Huberdeau(74)-Dubois(73)-Kane(78)
Tkachuk(72)-Domi(70) -Rantanen(76)
Lehkonen(69) -Copp(69)-Gallagher(71)
Grabner(66)Bozak(68)-Suzuki(70)
Wallmark (67)

Klefbom(73)-Chariot(72)
Hronek(72) -Brodin(70)
Fowler(70)-Greene(68)
Kulikov(66)-Boychuk(68)

Rinne(85)
Smith(85)
Saros(83)

We like our depth on D. Our top 6 had a mix of grit and skill. Our bottom 6 F are solid defensively and in net we have 3 high rated guys. I am hoping our top line line clicks as I like Dubois lining up between two highly skilled guys.

Can we drop the puck?

The Islanders boast a veteran-laden team with a terrific goaltending tandem that we hope will make the playoffs and win a couple rounds.

Nyquist - Staal - Atkinson
Soderberg - Stastny - Neal
Dowd - Bellemare - Johansson
Panik - Nash - Ryan
Nielsen/Abdelkader/Rodrigues/Reaves

McDonagh - Nemeth
Oleksiak - Zaitsev
Jensen - Miller
Carrick/MacDermid/Benning/Gilbert

Koskinen
Francouz

I don't think it'll change massively. There will be a few moves made to improve the defense. But we shouldn't have any trouble scoring and we have some good PKers in Dowd, Bellemare, Comeau, and Nielsen.

Here's a look at Nashville's lines so far, the team may not be there yet but its a far cry from what i started with. What i am lacking in forwards after my top 6 i am hoping my defensive D core can pick up the slack.

Panarin(76) Malkin(78) Ovechkin(77)
Kreider(73) Crosby(77) Rust(77)
Girgensons(66) Thornton(67) Accairi(70)
Lucic(64) Koivu(67)

Chara(72)(87d) McAvoy(74)(85d)
Hainsey(68)(87d) Subban(70)
Tinordi(63) (Bortuzzo(67)(83d)

Lehner(85)
McElhinney(77)

This is likely my roster to start the year, unless Ravi catches me sleeping at the wheel again like Weber

F Forsberg (73) - Eichel (78) - Gaudreau (75)
Silfverberg (73) - Couturier (76) - Meier (72)
Laughton (71) - Eriksson Ek (70) - Kubalik (71)
Wagner (63) - T.Johnson (69) - Nordstrom (63)
Ex: Anderson (62)

Provorov (75) - Werenski (75)
Theodore (72) - Demelo (67)
Dahlin (71) - Russell (66)
Ex: Ruhwedel (65), Holzer (65)

Hart (84)
Miller (78)

Total Salary: ~ $78M

Will see soon enough if I have the Horsepower to keep up with the Oilers and Sharks. My depth isn't as good on the 4th line but they all have good DF so I am hoping it is 'good enough'.

I've tried to hold onto some futures and have purposely traded for some good contracts in the hopes I can be competitive for a few years.

And let's hope the Hart we are watching in playoffs is the one the SIM decides to give me!

I'm with Goffie now, let's get the season going!

Frank Vatrano (70) - Tomas Hertl (73) - Brock Boeser (72)
Pavel Buchnevich (70) - Lars Eller (72) - Denis Gurianov (67)
Jason Dickinson (68) - Sean Monahan (72) - Nino Neiderieter (67)
Pierre Engvall (67) - Boone Jenner (69) - Dillon Dube (63)
Kevin Stenlund (63)

Ryan Pulock (74) - Brandon Carlo (72)
Miro Heiskanen (73) - Noah Hanifin (69)
Marc Boroweicki (72) - Ian Cole (71)
Brennan Menell (62)

Martin Jones (83)
Devon Dubnyk (81)
Hank Lundquist (79)

I can live with going into the season with this lineup. That said, I am 320K in cash from bringing up Zadina for the fourth line, and could use a depth forward and defenseman. There are two players on the NHL squad and three on the AHL squad who arn't out of the woods in terms of being trade bait at some point.

Right now the team is built to horribly injure everyone on the opposition. That's as far as I am in terms of strategy so far.

Found a link showing LW/C/RW positions for Stamkos so he will be a very versatile player for us this year. Considering this we will likely start him out on the wing on the top line with Daddy Mac and bump Voracek down to the 2nd line centered by Strome. I am curious to see how those two big ratings will play together in the sim.

Stamkos (79) - MacKinnon (79) - Tarasenko (73)
Reinhart (72) - Strome (74) - Voracek (72)
Duclair (72) - Kadri (71) - Hornqvist (70)
Foligno (70) - Howden (67) - Donato (66)
Grimaldi (65)

Letang (75) - Doughty (74)
Trouba (73) - Myers (71)
J. Johnson (70) - Hamonic (69)
Poolman (66)

Rask (89)
Bernier (83)
Reimer (82)

There is an argument going on in the main forum as to whether trading away the top line of a team guarantees failure, the next season. I am of the opinion that you can trade for futures, and put more responsibility on your existing second and third lines to carry the load, if you create a strong backbone of bottom six/bottom pair. No game breakers and no weak links.

So here is the fantasy version of where I want the Flames to go in real life. Top four forwards are gone, bottom of the roster much stronger. Fourteen new prospects in the system. I built this team to be mean and hungry.

Landeskog (74) Backstrom (74) Reinhart (72)
Pearson (72) Danault (73) Duclair (72)
Garland (68) Bonino (71) Archibald (66)
Brown (69) Haula (69) Perry (65)

Graves (74) Gio (74)
Mayfield (70) De Haan (68)
Maata (69) Holden (70)

Mrazek (84)
Elliot (81)

Out Larkin (75) Stephenson (68) (Both C/LW)

When Larkin returns he probably either slides in at 3rd line center pushing Bonino to the 4th line and Haula to LW and Brown to RW and Perry back out of the lineup. Stephenson will probably sink into the third or 4th line wing spot.
