Not long before automotive manufacturers have to have some sort of pact on vehicle power/speed, like we saw with sport bikes years ago.
That was driven by the EU wanting to keep motorcycle speeds under 300km/h. The last horsepower war was killed by insurance and the oil embargo regulations. Chances are this current golden age will end in the next few years with the CAFE fleet regulations and California's CARB going around the Trump EPA.
This shows the side view. There’s a lot of room for suspension squish but less room than with the other tires.
Drove it to work and back (~110 km) and the masking tape I put on the inside of the wheel wells is unmarked, so I think this might actually work.
Obviously I am concerned about rust with winter driving but reports I’ve read say the paint+supposedly galvanized panels do a very good job of not rusting.
Next step is a transmission service because it shifts just awful.

I was meaning more like a view of how close the edge of the tire is to the lip of the fender (example) but if the tape is unmarked after 110 KM then I'd say you're going to be just fine. Maybe take it through some areas you go where there are speed bumps and go over them as you normally would. Then check the tape (or just listen even) and that'll give you an idea of whether or not you'll need to adjust for those situations in the future.

We were talking about fuel and ethanol content, and according to this site there are more non-ethanol options than previously thought, if the listings are accurate and current.

Anyone in Red Deer want to confirm this is real?
Red Deer SHELL 97 Flying J
They have ethanol free 97 Octane at Flying J in Red Deer?
I'm worried with Cenovus buying Husky that something might happen to the 94 ethanol. That stuff is fantastic for keeping knock under control for tuned engines with high IATs.

The Husky stuff runs better, I get less timing pull with Husky 94. Can echo concern about it disappearing, for anything forced induction it's the best fuel in Alberta.

Some people are putting this record into question. The video seems to be either manipulated or it's a re-creation because they didn't get a proper video.
Does anyone have an experience upgrading the headlights on an 08 Ram 1500? Lenses on mine are perfectly clear, just the brightness leaves a lot to be desired. No issue upgrading the entire housing if that helps, just so long as they aren't the type that blind oncoming traffic at night.

Just replace the bulbs with brighter drop-in replacements. Ram 1500 uses pretty ubiquitous 9008-type bulbs.
Make sure you aim them properly after.

Yeah. Thought about the alltrak but the power the new mazda puts out might make up for the lack of manual gear box. I can't imagine the vw having much jam. Impreza sounds like it doesnt have a great motor or gearbox. I'd likely go for the 3 sedan anyway as everyone says the hatch has terrible blindspots. Just have to wait until they arrive to take for a spin.
So the new Mazda caught mine & the GF eye, as we saw one in the wild. Great lines on it. Poked around on the Uk & Japan, Mazda sites, and they can each get the manual with AWD, although couldn't find the 250hp/300tq turbo'd 2.0 on the UK site, the Japanese did.
