Default Understanding Real Property Report

I am looking at putting in a fence and I want to make sure that I am putting it back far enough. I live on a corner so my fence will be running along the side of my house facing the road.
I'm looking at my real properly report and I can see the sidewalk and then where my property starts. There is a dotted line between the sidewalk and my house that says 1.50m Utility R/W. I am assuming this is 1.5 meters for utilities right of way?? My question is can I put my fence in that area. I was hoping for 3 feet from the sidewalk but if this is the case that is 5'. I just want to be sure before I start working.
I tried looking online but cannot find any info on this.

Make sure you dial before you dig if you are going anywhere near that utility ROW.

I don't know the answer to your question though.

Yeah I did and they came out. All the utilities are on the other side between my neighbor and me. The only thing they marked was the power for a street light and that is more in the front of my house, not the side.

Your fence cannot be within the utility right of way.

When you sell this home, you will have to order an updated RPR to show the new fence.

I laugh when I drive down Southland Drive by the Leisure Centre. The fencing on the south side toggles back and forth. Some of the owners were a bit over zealous and added and extra 5-6 feet length to their yards. As long as they don't sell or the city doesn't crack down....

No wonder they didn't want the ring road access off Southland.

Is that accurate (in practice)? I've seen a good number of fences perpendicular through a Utility RoW (for example on the side of the house when the RoW runs the length of the house. I've had 2 properties with such a case, and imagine it must be common (and havn't seen any easements relating to them) just knowing how most lots are setup. Never heard a peep on RPRs, city approval, and havn't seen easements for that on them. These are developer installed fences too (perhaps rules were older in those days).

edit: As well, in the City rules, how is the maximum gate height over 8 feet, but the maximum fence height in any case only 6'6"? Seems a bit odd
