One problem though. I thought the over was a sure thing tonight and I went kind of big on that. Whoops.

Huge win!!! 2 great games in a row by BSD. We need him to play like this. Starting markstrom everygame was not going to last. This also gives markstrom some extra time to heal up. Have to think no matter what BSD gets the start next game.

The team played an outstanding game at times but also got bailed out by BSD on their powerplays. TO had two breakaways and multiple odd man rushes shorthanded. Despite the goal differential I'd argue they had better chances with special teams so BSD definitely deserves a lot of credit in this win.

Thought Rittich had a bit of the happy feet early on, but he settled down as he got more confidence.

Really good game all around...Leafs are a quality team and will get some chances but Rittich was good

Great games by the PKers all night long, awesome 5-3 kill by Backlund, Tanev and Giordano. Tanev played 8:52 shorthanded minutes tonight! The guy is a machine.

Matthew Tkachuk was the Tkachuk we love. Lindholm came to battle, happy to see Monahan score, he was good tonight and deserved it. Captain Giordano deserves a big shout out. Solid all night at both ends of the rink.

Good for Sam to pot that goal and then call it the easiest goal of his career because that empty net miss was one of the worst shots that I've ever seen. He obviously couldn't believe he was getting an easier one and declined.

So happy for Rittich. The Flames tried to give his shutout away multiple times with stupid undisciplined penalties and he said simply said fork that. Again, really was an amazing performance by Big Save and the penalty killers.
Defenceman dove across and it deflected off the blade of his skate. You can see and hear it when you play it back. Bennett should have got rid of it more quickly, or even better, Mangi should have shot it rather than passing. He had the better angle and there would have been no risk of a bobbled or blocked pass, and the defender wouldn’t have had time to get across like he did.

I'm stoked for Rittich. Seems like a quality guy and he had a rough go there for a long time.

No complaints after shutting out the Leafs at home. Really hoping that the loss to the Oilers is the spark to get them going like the loss to the Pens was under Peters.

Or Sam lets the D slide past and skates it in.

Leafs D is not the greatest and the Flames were pressuring them early. The same should work for every other team in this division. The Habs have a competent D but the rest are not great at all.

Flames looked great, they need to string a few together now and put the last week behind them.
