I've had all winter to think about last season and am 110% sure I know what I was doing wrong last year. In my mind my game has already changed and I've shaved 10 strokes off every round already. Such an easy fix and I'm sure it will translate immediately into lower scores. Haha.

Still, I'm super stoked about this season although it will be tough to match how much I played last year. Hoping Covid doesn't mess everything up.

Another Car accident for Tiger Woods. Sounds serious.

This is exactly the case for me! I've got a new putter, and basically have it all figured out. That should hold until about the second hole when its back to "I have no idea what the problem is!!"

I know the feeling. Had a bit of a shoulder injury the last month that sidelined me. Got out on the weekend, score was meh, but felt like I was striking them well. Immediately booked a golf trip for May down at King Island and spent 3 mornings watching the youtube drone flyby's of cape wickham and ocean dunes planning out my approaches. Reality will hit though...and there are going to be a lot of balls flying into the Bass Strait that week.

Still excited.

I did the Golftec thing throughout the winter. First time taking formal lessons and I have to say I am pretty impressed so far. Lost my practice privileges due to COVID but for the most part the 1v1 lessons kept going. I had a major swing flaw that I didn’t realize how bad it was until I saw it repeatedly on camera. Classic over the top and really struggled to swing from the inside. Have been working on this pretty much all winter and have made big changes. Hoping for payoff but like others with early season optimism I’ve seen this script before!

Why is Tiger driving himself anywhere ever?

Kinda feel like Steinberg has failed him.

Golf Town and it's annual regrip event is on now.

40% off grips and 20% off shafts.

I regripped last year for the first time ever (clubs were probably about 8-10 years old at that point) and what a change it made. I went from shooting high 90s to breaking 90 a handful of times over the year - it made a huge difference.

Agreed. I tried the Super Stroke grip on my putter last year and that was also a big difference. I like the non-tapered notion on a putter grip, I felt like my putter face stayed more 'true' and didn't twist during the stroke. Plus it has the Flames logo on it.

My Wife deciding between McKenzie Meadows and Heritage Pointe for Ladies night golf. The women golfing are mostly beginners. Would Heritage Pointe be too difficult? I have never played it, but I have played Meadows and found it pretty easy.

McKenzie Meadows all the way, IMO. It's easier yes, but outside of the 3-hole loop, HP (Heritage and Pointe courses at least) is very inaccessible and discouraging for a beginner golfer, not just difficult. McKenzie Meadows is also far more walkable, if that's something to consider. If you're looking for a challenge, Heritage Pointe. A weekly league round? McKenzie Meadows.

Plus McKenzie Meadows isn't operated by Windmill which is a plus to me but to each their own on that one.

There are way too many forced carries at HP for it to be any fun for a beginner. MM all the way.

If she doesn't mind the 30 minute drive, I'm assuming you live in the SE somewhere, check out Speargrass. It is a great course and has a good balance of being challenging/rewarding and safe depending on how you play your shots.

I ordered new Taylormade irons yesterday and they're backordered to April 20. Covid strikes again

Anyone know when approximately courses will start to open in and around Calgary this year? I know its weather dependent obviously but curious which ones typically open first and around when.... I'm anxious to get out there
