Now I have that song stuck in my head, thanks for that.

I actually re-watched it a few weeks ago for the first time since probably the 80's. Still a good movie although it's certainly dated now and you have to forgive the special effects considering it's age. It's worth watching still but it's really more of a drama/thriller than it is a comedy.

Holy Grail has the best individual bits/sketches, but Life of Brian is the funniest in concept and overarching ideas. And not just funny, but smart funny too. Most of their other stuff was just silly funny.

The chase around the Colosseum is pure gold.

This is the End makes me laugh every time. They play up the douchiness of James Franco which allows me to hate-watch him and all the actors personas are amped up for laughs.

Ones that others have mentioned:

Ghostbusters
Fargo
Snatch
Top Secret
Naked Gun
Trains Planes & Automobiles
O Brother, Where Art Thou?

When I first watched that scene I actually fell off my couch laughing, then watched it again and then had to take a 15 minute break from the movie to collect myself.

The best comedic experience I've ever had with a movie was watching "The Room" at the plaza theatre, the crowd was perfect for it and booming with hysterical laughter the whole time. I walked out of the theatre that night knowing I would never laugh that hard at a movie ever again.

Austin Powers is not getting enough credit. 2 and 3 are derivative and have cheap laughs but the first one is pure comedic genius. This was peak Myers. Yes, even better than Wayne's World. Endlessly quotable, influential and rewatchable. It's such a fun movie.

Super Troopers and Beer Fest for me. Just stupid good fun with guys who like to make movies and don't take themselves seriously.
