Happy to add somebody more proven to my top-six... was happy to pick up Bunting last year and I think he's a very good player but the sample size on his goal-scoring is pretty small. Thanks for the quick deal.

I needed another top 6 forward. Always liked Pavelski. He brings a ton of skill, defense and leadership with him to Buffalo. I don't think I can afford to play in the UFA market now but that's ok. We got our man.
Thanks to Quigz17.

Pavel Francouz
Albin Grewe
Top 90 pick 2021
To TBL
Mikko Koskinen
Nick Bjugstad
A top 90 pick was previously owed by NYI to TBL. This trade now satisfies in value this previous condition.
NYI also moves pick # 76 to TBL to resolve a separate condition from last year.
TBL now doesn't have any conditions to resolve for the upcoming draft.
Goaltending was a big hole to fill for the TBL and they are glad to pick up a competent goalie (at least in the SIM ratings). Francouz is definitely promising and has a good chance for a bounce back next year. Lightning are hopeful that Knight takes the next step, and becomes a competent starter for 2022-23.
Bjugstad is someone we had discussed previously. His re-rate definitely helped in making this decision. Lightning have still got a decent number of picks, and Bjugstad is definitely a decent bottom six option to have in the lineup.
Grewe is tough to give up, but with many picks in the 2021 draft, and limited ECHL spots the Lightning determined it was fair value to pick up some competency in goal.

NYI no longer owes TB a 2021 3rd.
Grewe was the 66th-overall pick in 2019 and was seen as a bit of a faller in his draft year — Bob, FC, McKeen's all had him in the second round and often high up there. Lots of skill with him.
Koskinen to Francouz is a bit of a downgrade for this year but I'm still a firm believer in Francouz's talent. I handed him that 3 x $4.25 million contract for a reason. Certainly didn't anticipate him missing all of last year but he's still a competent backup in the sim and I think he'll be back to his high-quality level of play when he returns to the Avs in 2021–22.
Bjugstad for a 3rd is a deal I'd discussed with Tampa forever. Finally agreed to pull the trigger to get that condition out of the way. Bjugstad is a fine player, whatever. His rating is surprisingly decent (68) but he's replaceable and I anticipate adding some bodies in future weeks that would have pushed him out of the lineup.

Top 80 pick in 2022 draft.
Doan is an overager but his trajectory has been great the last few years. It was worth a third to take a flyer on him. Pedigree is there certainly.

Thought I'd go ahead and be the one to write this up, and add some reasoning to it.
To New Jersey

2022 fifth
To Los Angeles
Eeli Tolvanen
2022 third
So, from my perspective this is a continuation of the trade with the Isle, where I'm swapping the draft pick for something a bit more concrete. I don't have the depth to absorb the loss of Gurianov on the wings, but I can pull a Billy Beane and make it up in the aggregate. I intended to be competitive this year, and with this move I believe I am two players away from at least being in the mix.

Sens sent a '23 first along with Raddysh to Vancouver for Jonathan Marchessault.
Easy trade to make 3 PMs and it was done. Hate dipping into the '23 draft picks already but really like Marchessault and his ability to play all 3 forward positions.
