Look how well 'not staying in Edmonton' has worked out for Petry, Eberle, Schultz and Hall...

They were fools to leave! Fools!!

The problem the Oilers have is there may be better players that will sign contracts for 6-7 million, but they won't sign in Edmonton. They'll have to over pay to get someone in his spot and he won't be any better.

I follow ############ on FB as it's a fun read during an i-poop. Had to laugh today as the question was posed to the fanbase: Should Ken Holland make a move for Patrick Laine?
My favourite reply, from a fan, is: "Not a chance. We don't need a soft, lazy forward who doesn't want to play defense. I would avoid him at all costs."

That fanbase is so damn cute.

My questions are: What can Holland move to make room for Laine? Or who would BJ wants for Laine?

You can't blame a player for giving up money to avoid an unfamiliar situation/culture that he may not be comfortable with.
Why stick with a familiar uncomfortable situation/culture like Edmonton?

Stan Fischler, longtime NY Rangers broadcaster and hockey historian.

That does sort of look like a Confederate flag tie, but it's likely a coincidence.

But he's right, except that Calgary wasn't a humpty Dumpty Team, they were built to be an Oiler killer that year, and Grant Fuhr killed a lot of cocaine that year.

I mean... if you win FOUR straight Stanley Cups, pretty much any other team out there starts to resemble a Humpty Dumpty team.

Personally, I'm insulted but I'll allow it.
