In fact, the more they don’t want to discuss those the more I believe they’ll implement an Alberta pension plan and police force. I’m convinced of it.

Hard to know which polls are indeed accurate at this point in the game. Yesterday. Global had a poll from May 9-12 of 885 people (I realize small sample size) that had the NDP ahead. The truth lies somewhere in between I imagine. Got to keep getting the message out as to how dangerous Smith is. Hoping she implodes at debate which is very possible given her terrible character and personal attributes.

Anything is possible but Janet Brown is usually quite good. We've seen people bizarrely try to defend Smith in this thread. We saw all the UCP supporters disappear from this thread after the last election and the UCP began making bad decision after bad decision. Instead of admitting they had it wrong, they just stopped posting, because "echo chamber". Or make ridiculous statements like "I know Smith is absolutely horrendous but I can't vote NDP".
Those people likely aren't changing their vote. I'd love to be proven wrong.

No. Calgary is the dumbest city, and it's not even close.
Don't lump Edmonton in with the majority of people who live in Calgary and area.
They voted in a bunch of deplorables and are doubling down on that this election.
We may be no good, but we didn't put Kenney in power and we're not electing Smith and the UCP.

If UCP win, I vote we (collectively, all of CP) make a hard right pivot. Like super right. Go insane and reap some benefit.
If we go hard enough, we can probably fund the site as part of the War Room budget. Each post nets you $5 Smith bucks.

It's been discussed. We'll see how it shakes out. My wife has plenty of options outside of just family medicine. Smith has to pass the things she's been talking about as well.
Brilliant response though, way to completely miss the point.

I did say Edmonton has better people in a post following that one. So we are in agreement!

hard right? you mean like upping our credit card limits to $50k so we can afford some health care services later?
or do you mean we do a group buy for AR-15s?

Gives us pause to consider returning if the UCP wins and doesn't significantly moderate back to the center. Healthcare also needs far more respect, and I just can't see it happening. Hell, even Nathan Neudorf was musing on video last week that he is considering more private options, even in the midst of degrading service with privatization already underway and the UCP still crippling the health system with bad decisions.
Goddamn I love Alberta with all my heart but it sucks to see what's happening there politically.

I've got options career-wise outside of Alberta as well. I'll take a look at those if Smith and the UCP gets in. Not saying I'll 100% move, but it'll be closer to a serious discussion, that's for sure. Don't know if I could tolerate another four years of Wildrose/TBA rule. The UCP is the worst provincial party in the history of this province, and they depend on the illiterate, uneducated and angry red meat base for their support while duping them at the same time under the guise of 'conservatism'.

All I can get

If the UCP win, Smith can still be punted as leader. Which leads to the next question: For who?

Ditto. I'm not putting my kid in Danielle Smith indoctrination schools. Now that I work remote I could be pretty much anywhere. I'll seriously consider relocating.

I keep thinking they won’t elect a dumber leader but Smith is worse that Kenny so who knows.
Having said that, I don’t see them finding a bigger idiot than Smith.
