So it looked like they reported 9 went out. Whoever received 10 might have miscounted?

WRGMG: noisy people at hotels who slam doors, hard-heal walk in the halls or their rooms, speak at top volume, don’t shut the hell up until midnight then some others noisily get up and moving at 4am (with loud door closing again).
Just had some guy yell at some delivery person how they didn’t get their booze.
And this is supposedly a nice decent newer hotel too.

I just got over the first ear infection I've had in at least 25 years. It was excruciating and gross for days
Get well!

We were at a coffee shop during the emergency alerts. Most people under ~50 had their phone on silent already, the rest picked up on that neat little trick almost immediately. And yet the luddites would be utterly astonished and annoyed time and again when their phone went off on full ####ing volume.

I wouldn't call it offensive, but to me comments like that are now inappropriate, that's all.

I think it's clear which of the two sentences, but thanks for that.
I'll break it down further, what specifically within that second sentence is inappropriate and why?

They're known as natives or indigenous people. Indians warriors are from another continent. Maybe they also made pemmican and you are talking about them but it sure looks like you're using an outdated word to describe a group of people which is inappropriate

Well, I believe that using a racial based simile in this day and age often is inappropriate, as is using the word Indian to refer to said peoples.

I was at Chinook mall when the alerts went off, so it was actually pretty funny just hearing a constant barrage of alarms echoing from everywhere in the mall for a good twenty minutes.

Hi Mattie, I'm Fuzz, and after 8 hours "sleeping" on a bench with immovable armrests listening to your message every five minutes, I'd like to kill you.

The seeming proliferation of long layovers is becoming a GG. They’re not even at good times. I remember coming back from Japan and had a good 8 hours in San Francisco to have fun during the day. Now it’s like a 9 hr layover in an airport starting at 10pm.

We got screwed by the ice storm(we specifically picked Dallas to fly through vs Toronto or Montreal in February, thinking it would be the safest for weather!), then screwed again by American. It was a double screwing. Then they screwed us again the next day and we got stuck in Miami. Then my wife got food poisoning, and she vomited the entire flight to St Thomas. It was at that point I started to wonder if travel was worth it anymore...

I guess that answers my random thought about whether anyone ever uses the puke bags anymore.

They upgraded her to a few larger plastic bags. The little ones are emergency use, I guess.

I'm pretty sure the phones make a chime even when on silent/DND. It's the emergency alert after all. I know mine and all my colleagues was on silent/DND. Or do you mean the phone is even louder if not on silent?
I know I can go into settings and disable emergency alerts and tones, but I decided against it. I'm assuming that's what you've done?
