today is kind of a downer day... my dad would have turned 80 today
i was talking to my mom earlier and "the deep freeze" stopped working today... i don't remember life without that freezer - it's huge - like 7' long. i don't know how old it is, but my dad got it in the early 70s and it was 'used' then! some guy didn't need it anymore so my dad took it off his hands. that sucker just kept going and going. before we remove it i'll have to look for a manufacturing plate or something. it sucks my mom lost a ton of frozen stuff, but at least the expensive stuff like meat was in her other freezer (don't ask me why a 79 year old single lady needs 2 deep freezers... that's another gear grinder! ha!).
some friends of my folks from ontario called my mom today to wish her a happy birthday. they felt pretty awful when she told them that it would have been my dad's birthday... not hers.
just kinda one of 'those' days. here's to a better tomorrow.

Bc-chris. Sorry to hear about that tough day.
I have had some experience moving old freezers, helping friends and that. Some of these things are extremely heavy. You might want to, or have to remove the lid. Be careful doing that, the springs are like old car hood springs.
Anyways, just didn’t want you to get an injury removing that old freezer.

I hate that two of my nearest gyms have both been renovated to be more like aquariums, with huge glass walls, both inside malls, so I'm supposed to be sweating away in my normal fairly worn out training gear in my slightly overweight 45-year old body, when everyone else in the shopping center is obviously dressed like normal people, just meters away. It's not even some relatively anonymous and distant mall, it's pretty small neighborhood mall with local annoying teenagers and my weird neighbor passing by and stuff.
Nobody wants these aquariums. I can tell because everytime I buy groceries I can count how many people there are in what used to be my go-to gym, and it's maybe three people at once, at most, in a place which used to have 10 times that amount of people at similar times. It also seems to be basically the same three really fit, fairly attractive fairly people in clearly very new brand clothes.

Basic is the easiest course.......
Truthfully I am happy that your back appears to be doing better. It can hold up your amble girth........

Yeah i feel my neck all the time.
My left hand feels like I have a latex glove on all the time.
I had success with this drug:
https://www.webmd.com/drugs/2/drug-1...n-oral/details
It cut right through the pain.
This was a few years ago when I was using 6 beers, a few T3s, and some muscle relaxants to get a few hours sleep.
Maybe explore it with your doctor.

no need to be a ####.
I read your post as this being an ongoing painful issue.
if fitness is allowing you to control your inherent structural weakness that is wonderful.

Carefully controlled fitness, tbh. I'm lucky that it isn't as debilitating as it first seemed to be.
There was about a year where I was in your boat of drinking and drugging heavily to control the pain and even get a bit of sleep.

I hate to derail this loving conversation, but I do second this. I ended up getting a fusion to deal with it. There was just nothing else that had any impact, but the fusion has been amazing. Sure, I'm always going to have some level of back pain, but all my previous activities are a go again.

Dude, that's rotten. I had a bad back for all of December and it was miserable. One month and it made life basically no fun. Can't imagine that being a permanent thing. Glad to hear the fusion helped.

wrgmg... i've got one customer that uses 4 different email addresses for his business and trying to go back and find info out from a previous email discussions is brutal since he uses which ever one he feels like... even when replying to a question... he won't just reply to my question - he'll start a new email and answer the question (which is great and appreciated)... but more often than not he uses a one of his other email addresses to reply with.
and trying to sort emails by subject doesn't work becuz he constantly puts new stuff in the subject line.
