i had the monster fm transmitter and it was crap... maybe mine was a bit older, but i still got static and the sound quality suffers quite a bit too.

but if you dont have an aux output in your car i guess that's your best bet.

Can you do this with a stock deck?
I don't want to upgrade my deck because I have a 6-disk changer that goes with it.
My friend has this done on an aftermarket deck. The downside to this is the lack of charging while playing though. Sound quality is superb though.

I used to have the Monster one that has been linked to a couple times in this thread. Used it with my Ipod Classic. Was awesome.
Ended up getting stolen when my car got broken into though.

Also used to have a no-name one that was garbage.
A Belkin one was decent, but (easily) broke.

For my money without being able to try other I wouldn't spend my money on anything but the Monster again.

Does anyone have experience with these with a iphone?

You can buy the kits for essentially any factory deck. Barring it being an 8-track player in a 72 ford.

I had this one:

Was really nice because of the cradle. Very staticy though, and the lighter-in part stopped working about 8 months after I bought it.
