Ya surreeeeeee... I don't have a problem, nah its gotta be at least 60% AFK time, I mean like seriously I went over to whats his faces last weekend for a few hours and hung out so thats not like all my time playing... ya at least 70% AFK time.. if you think about it, when I am just running to that last Point of Interest while I watch TV, is it really playing ? Ya for sure 80% AFK time. And realistically, can anyone tell me that some of these events even require me to actually do anything? Sometimes I get Gold and I didn't even know there was one near me! 90% afk time. Typically I wouldn't think that this play time counter is broken, but realistically who could play this much in 11 days, like seriously? 99% afk time.
Silly ArenaNet and their broken /age command..

What's the WvWvW wait time on Yak's Bend is like? Will be picking the game up when more digital keys available.

I was going to buy the advanced delux digital copy and get the 3 day jump on the store bought crowd and then I remembered one thing - addiction. I mean I have stuff to do. I remember playing WOW for two years during almost all my free time. So for now I am holding off - but it sure sounds like fun.

Ya if you are one of those people that lacks will power and can't control their urges, then you should stay away from MMO's altogether.. and probably get a bit of counselling.
I don't think enough people realise that addiction isn't just to drugs and alcohol, and dealing with it can really benefit your life.
That being said I think I might go outside today, haven't seen the sun in a week. What year is it? Damn I am all out of Red Bull and Kraft Dinner.. supplies are low.. maybe I can find an escort quest to Sobeys to double my exp during this objective quest..

It's a free online experience after you purchase it - I don't feel the need to play it when I'm away like I did when I first started WoW. I enjoy playing it, but I don't need to maximize my time for the monthly fee I'm paying.

So, I can't decide on what class to play, so I keep levelling a class to 20, starting a new one, levelling another to 20. I don't have much time to play, but I think I'm going to get all 8 classes to level 80 this way.

When an MMO is first released, people play like mad for the first two weeks or so. That initial euphoric rush of gaming has to die down at some point, and the amount of time people spend playing it and, well, who sticks with the game at all levels off. I think you have to give the game a couple months before telling for sure what's going on with it, if it's dying, or if people are just beginning to leave their basements to enter the light of day again and starting to play the game at a normal pace.

Ya my play time slowed to a halt, I still plan to finish my guy (74) but it will be slow going. I have heard horrible things about the end game PvP/PvE from some friends so I am not in a huge rush at the moment..

Same boat as you. Started an elementalist, made it to 31. Started a char engineer, made it to 15. Now working a guardian into 18.
Doesn't help that I keep goofing around with the crafting system - though at least 2 levels on my guardian are from crafting alone.
I really like that I can simply transition to different newbie areas without having to grind the same content or be restricted to zones based on starting race.
My only gripe with the game is the slowness of the walking speed in pve. Give me something to boost that by 20-30% on a persistant basis. I like to waste my time exploring, but I don't want to *feel* like I'm wasting my time, if that makes sense.

It's dying for me. I hit 80 last weekend, and haven't really felt a desire to log on and play any more since then.
Oh well. I've already logged 100 hours into it, so I can safely say I got more than my money's worth.

So many friends are nagging me to come back to at least play the content to 90 in the expac for wow. I really enjoyed my times in the old days with those people, but I just can't imagine I will enjoy it for very long, and monthly fee for that game is a real deal breaker.
Thats why I really enjoy GW2, I would not pay a monthly fee to play that game for more than a few months, but they got my $60 for sure for the amount of hours I know I will get playing it casually.

So just curious how many people are still playing GW2?
I flopped out shortly after release, got to level 76? (was the cap 80?) I can't even remember lol.. anyway got to 76 on my mage or caster whatever it was, before I got sick of rolling around constantly to avoid death.
I guess that is how much of an impression that game left on me, I can't even remember the level cap or if I got the name of my class right...
Anyone have positives for the end game content?
