Low Carb Cereal?
In trying to eat better breakfasts one thing I miss is cereal. I'm not talking keto level low carb but still low carb, like where plain Cheerios or Special-K might be at the top end.
I've read about Magic Spoon cereal ( https://magicspoon.com/) but they don't ship to Canada.
Any other low carb (or even keto) cereals that people like?

Cereal is more or less a meal invented to sell more carbs by the corn and wheat industries. I would be warry about any "low carb" cereal. Often these products will replace the carbs with even less healthy oils and/or they will be very heavy in sweeteners.
If you're willing to tolerate Cheerios, however, a lot of cereal would be fine. Cheerios is a very high in carbs, with 27g for every 40g serving.

You might be able to find some low carb granolas, but honestly, the best answer is to simply skip breakfast. There are substantial benefits to intermittent fasting and breakfast is the easiest meal for me to skip.

Regular cereal is already so expensive and is only purchased when it's on sale.
$15 for 300g of Farm Girl. $5 per 100g compared to $0.70-0.80/100g for Cheerios.
This is why trying to eat healthy sucks.

If you have a waffle maker, the best keto breakfast I've found is Chaffles with a sugar-free syrup. I make a double batch and freeze or refrigerate them.
https://www.dietdoctor.com/recipes/keto-chaffles
1 oz. butter, melted
4 eggs
8 oz. (1 cup equals 4 oz) mozzarella cheese, shredded
4 tbsp almond flour
- Pre-heat your waffle maker.
- Place all of your ingredients (save some of the butter to grease the waffle maker) into a mixing bowl and beat to combine.
- Grease your waffle iron with butter and then evenly spoon the mixture over the bottom plate, spreading it out slightly to get an even result.
- Close the waffle iron and cook for approx 6 minutes, depending on your waffle maker.
- Gently lift the lid when you think they’re done. If they are cooked, they will release easily.

I eat Special K protein cereal which has 33g carbs and 10g protein. I then add a scoop of whey to that as well.
Not low carb, but a nicely balanced carb to high protein ratio breakfast.
I would start by figuring out all of your macro goals for the day and fit cereal into your big picture. Lunch/dinner type foods are easier to go lower carb so fueling your morning with carbs is good anyway.
If you're goal is only to eat low carb all the time, then cereal isn't for you.

Not the cereal you're looking for but I eat oatmeal. Decent carbs and fibre and I also scramble a couple of eggs. Being diabetic I pay attention to carbs and my glucose (sometimes) and this doesn't spike my levels.

The answer for a low carb cereal is simple: eggs and bacon.
Honestly, just don't eat cereal if you want low carbs in the morning. Personally, I eat steel cut oatmeal with a little added protein powder. Does the job nicely.

Yeah I've been doing eggs and sometimes bacon more lately, and often oatmeal otherwise.
I just miss the ice cold milk with crunchy stuff sometimes.

Basically, cereals are bad. Eat whole grains (kasha/buckwheat, oates) or eggs.

If you want an approximation, try Bircher Muesli. Similar, but much, much better for you overall.

Oatmeal was the first idea I had as well.
But I'm also wondering why those psyllium fibre (ie: All bran)/Muesli cereals aren't be suggested? I thought it was mainly fibre?
Or are they just fataing disgusting?
Also, how healthy are mini wheats with the icing sugar on them? (As a change of pace)

It's like asking for a low carb beer.
Sure, they exist, but I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Instead, I'd point them towards a tasty whiskey or something.

We recently did some family camping and bought a mix pack of cereals for a convenient breakfast. My daughter just loved Raisin Bran (or Sultana Bran as they call it here) and has been asking for it again. We went to get a large box and were blown away at how much sugar was in this stuff. How did they make bran flakes with dried fruit so damn unhealthy? We ended up finding some low sugar muesli that included dried fruit instead.

Cereal's a toughy. The best bet are types loaded with fibre (subtract the fibre from the carbs) but those cereals usually taste like ####.
An easy-as-cereal option I found is cottage cheese and plain greek yogurt (50/50). Add about 1 tsp sugar free jam if you like, a sprinkle of bran buds or frozen berries.
Tons of protein, very few carbs.
