I was watching that one car commercial today where the GPS voice person says "turn right" and the guy turns left instead and was thinking they must have installed Apple maps in that car.

That Lexus commercial is broken. The GPS was telling him to turn right into a dead end. It must have used apple maps. hahaha
From the looks of it, Google has very little confidence the iOS Google maps app is going to get approved by Apple meaning iOS users will probably be stuck with AppleMaps. The app is rumored to be ready by 2013. http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology...s-doubt-iphone

The other day I was using the map app on my Nexus 7 to find Chinook Centre, it caused my to set fire to the Synagogue and throw poisoned meat into my neighbors dog run. Should i alert the press?

I have no problem ranting about what I dislike about Apple, but Maps has yet to fail me. I can recreate the problems of others, I just keep dodging the bullet for things I have to navigate to.
I'm odd that way... I was also one of the few that never had a problem with MobileMe back in the day.
